Excellent video, you should do more of these, explaining what size lures different combos can throw and how hook sets can be effected by the rods. Keep them coming!

I'm pretty happy with the zephyr as my first bfs reel. I struggle with lures below 3 grams (distance and ease of casting), but most of what I throw is above that so can't complain. I agree that it palms quite comfortable even with my smaller hands. My ownly gripe is that the drag clicker could sound better. Sounds dull and doesn't have many increments per rotation. Some of the aftermarket clickers I've heard sound much more refined. I believe that the brown piece on the side plate originally wasn't there in the first run of reels. People complained of line getting caught between the spool and side plate so they probably rushed to source material to create something to remedy the issue after the fact, and just stuck with it.

The mgl reels and medium rod are perfect for all those bottom baits.

The knobs are riveted on. Just replace the handle. I used a daiwa handle on mine when i had it. The daiwa presso orange also matches the KK orange.

Yeah already switched it out added drag clicker and softened the clutch by releasing the top spring since it has dual clutch springs

@@bassnbonsai By release do you mean that you took out one of the springs? Does the clutch still have a pretty positive feeling after doing so? Thanks.

I have the zephr rod in the 1.8 m spinning version. I notice it says Kastking New York on the butt cap of the rod but I purchased it from China, so are they made in the USA or China?
