I was 18, lying on the bed in my first own apartment, a pair of sennheisers on, and put hounds of love on. Never been much of a fan for vocal pop, but this album changed me, it changed everything. Many artists have rave reviews and hardcore fans, so what can i write to make you understand that this is the real thing? This is the real thing. There arent many albums like that. They transcend genre and time. Take a listen, with some good headphones.

I was so close to attaining transcendence. The spirit of the music suffused throughout my body, unifying my soul with the experience. I was on the cusp of being able to see the world differently, to feel it differently, to understand my being - to understand being. But I was using Brand X, Sennheiser's foul competitor. Kids, don't make the same terrible mistake I did.

0:20 - 0:23 that's "Alfred Hitchcock" making his cameo because the video is inspired by The 39 Steps directed by him 1:09-1:10 that's "Albert Einstein" heading the conga line and then again at 1:49-1:51 he's right behind Kate dancing up and down. And yes....I know....they are actors..

I feel so lucky that this was the era of music I grew up in. The music today doesn't hold a candle to artists from the 80s. There isn't a woman artist today who comes close to Kate Bush.

She is a beautiful free spirit when it comes to her music and performance. She dances to the beat of her own drum, and in years to come future generations will discover her and fall in love with her again and again. I find her music so personal and even tho she has had success...feels like shes my little secret.

Never get bored of watching this music video, one of the best of the 80s. Even with the passing of time, still sounds excellent, not dated like many music is from that period are. Plus love the song. Wish she was still making music.

I'm turning 23 this year, been listening to her for around 15 years now. When I was a kid I enjoyed listening to the likes of Kate, Seal, Sting, MJ, and all these different cool artists. The feeling of "power" coming from their songs gave me thrills. It was still the 2000's, and I don't think their music was even considered outdated yet. But this very song was already 20 years old at that time! and now teens are discovering that generation of artists through series, four decades later lol. Since 2010, things have been evolving so much faster. Now I mainly listen to the most recent artists, but nowadays' music does have a different feeling to it, like the "lifespan" of the excitement that a song gives you has become very short.... and I can't really feel the same "power" sensation in recent songs anymore, it feels like recent songs have much less character to them.

I really really love this video. It feels almost like a revelatory dream where she's being chased by big scary men representing the intimidating aspects of emotional and sexual maturity. And then at some point things get lucid and don't feel entirely right, and she confronts and embraces it. It resonates with me a lot, because I had a similar dream before I was really comfortable with myself for the same reasons (albeit coming to terms with being gay). Was being chased through various locales by some ominous figure, and eventually I turned, stood my ground and confronted him, and then everything made sense.
