I don't think any actor/actress today could be as honest, direct, and frank as Katherine is here. And although this fear of being honest could be because of the increasing lack of privacy experienced by said actors/actresses, or the much faster rate at which statements they make are spread and criticized today, I'd love to watch an interview with an actress in which she has the courage to speak her mind and say something like "Aging is horrible, just kills us when it's time".

So for 475 days I was with my Mom (except sleeping) every single day until she died. Very pitiful to see all the lonely dying souls. I only wonder what fate awaits me. My perspective is when Kate says,"life is miserable for a great many people", she's referring to the elderly put away in care homes to rot away, However, she's saying this should not be the way. I think when Kate says very bluntly, "kill them, it's an unnatural way to live" she is basically saying that if people are in pain and no longer find pleasure in life, they should be able to choose whether or not to end it. This is just the way I interpret it, and I agree with Katharine.
