@Chilli269 Stalking, You're having a larf aint you! writing a few e-mails, that offended Jeremy Vine(who loves taking people to court) and you get 5 1/2 years, is in my opinion not proportionate. £1000 fine, doubling if convicted again, should have been sufficient deterrent. Maybe 6 months if that didn't do the trick. I know of a CEO who stole(embezzled) £half a million, caused the firm to go bankrupt and cost 30 guys their jobs, and he got 18 months, and they never recovered the money. When you compare that to Alex Belfield's crime it makes a mockery of our legal system!

Alex Belfield (born 1979 or 1980)[1] is an English former radio presenter for BBC Radio Leeds who was dismissed for misconduct. He was convicted of stalking charges in September 2022 and imprisoned.[2] Career Belfield's career began as an entertainer in Nottingham at the age of 14.[3] His career has spanned television, radio and print. He was responsible for stories on the front pages of The Sun, the Daily Mirror and the Daily Express.[4] He worked at Mansfield 103.2 FM in the early 2000s.[5] He presented the mid-morning show on BBC Radio Leeds. In 2010 he made lewd comments about weather presenter Keeley Donovan's broadcasts at home that resulted in complaints from listeners. As punishment, Belfield was suspended from the station for a day and strongly reprimanded by BBC bosses.[4] From 2007, Belfield released videos through his KZitem channel, initially called Celebrity Radio before rebranding as The Voice of Reason.[4] [6][7] Stalking conviction On 18 June 2021 Belfield was summonsed to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court, where he was charged with 12 counts of stalking "involving fear of violence or serious alarm or distress" on 1 July.[8] On 29 July 2021, Belfield appeared at Nottingham Crown Court accused of stalking eight people between November 2012 and March 2021, including BBC staff members Stephanie Hirst and Jeremy Vine. Belfield was convicted in September 2022 for four of eight stalking charges at Nottingham Crown Court. He was sentenced to five and a half years in prison; before sentencing "he was allowed to deliver a closing speech deriding the case as a 'BBC and police witch-hunt' and describing himself as 'the No 1 anti-BBC journalist'". He told the jury "I am offensive... My human right allows me to speak words that are not to everyone's taste".[6] The judge noted that while Belfield acknowledged the distress he caused the victims, he showed more concern during the proceedings about being treated unfairly and how the process impacted him (Belfield) personally.[9][6] He currently resides at HM Prison Erlestoke, just outside Devizes.

Why am I being punished? What did I do? I'm getting old and I don't have years to waste. The likes of Alex Belfield and Katie Hopkins keep me sane in my declining years. They are the best medicine in a world that has gone mad. Give me back my 'meds'. I need them to survive.

Convincing everyone NOT to get a Covid jab yet he already had two done and used money he scammed out his audience to book little holidays. He even made videos from the hotel rooms his “fans” had paid for. You people are as crazy as he is if you fail to see the things he did as wrong.

There was a serious drug gang in Coventry one of them got 13 years for fire arms and drug offences. his brother got 4 years (reduced from 9 at sentencing because he returned some money) for drug dealing and child pornography. He was out after 12 months after being put in the papers as one of the countries worst gangs. He was shopping in Tesco with his girl friend and baby, I asked him how he was out so quickly, he just lifted his trouser leg and showed me his TAG. So how does 5 years for sending emails and asking the same question over and over get a higher sentence than running drugs for a whole city with violence and intimidation. People whom do acid attacks get less. This country's juditial system is so corrupt. But representing yourself in that system is so stupid.
