Coming from high $ Ducatis, V-Stroms, Harleys, Guzzis, etc... I'm telling you....the KLR is REALLY all you need for a soulful ride. Enjoy.

I agree, it's just so simple and basic that it makes you ride simple and basic, which seems to make it all more enjoyable. Thanks for watching and ride safe!!

For your wife, the KLR comes in a short version, the KLR650S. It is recommended for people with shorter inseams. I do believe that Motor Sports up in Wilmar, MN still has a few in stock. I still plan to get an ADV, but am considering the new Suzuki 880 or 1050. The reason is that I still need to be able to ride the Interstates and be able to sustain 80 MPH. I would like to keep my Victory Vision Tour for strictly pavement trips, but be able to substitute my ADV for both commuting and touring should I go camping or have to run the unpaved farm roads here in SD. The weight differential is minor considering my size 6'4'+ and 270lbs. At 68 years of age I am not looking at riding BDR's, but have a lot of friends that are farmers and live 5 miles or so off the beaten path. However, in the Dual Sport class it is hard to beat a KLR650.

If you plan on Interstate travel i would definitely go with the Suzuki over the KLR. after a few hours on the interstate the twin will feel MUCH better than the thumper!!

My Phone I use as my normal phone can do that if i turn it on, but i don't think the one on the bike that I use for maps only will since it has no sim card. but I can try it out.

I ride two up with my wife, and wouldn't think twice about roads like that. I did put a stronger spring on the rear shock. the front I left stock.

I offered her a ride but I think she is too used to the Road King and wasn’t too sure about the KLR
