Day 2 and day 3 of our Moto adventure up north. After Vigan city, we headed up north to Paoay Church for a quick lunch and to see the distinct architecture of the national cultural treasure.
We venture far north all the way Pagudpod, a town on the north coast of Luzon island, in the Philippines. Along the journey, we pass by the towering Bangui windmills wind turbines along the coast.
Next stop is Patapat Bridge or Patapat Viaduct at the municipality of Pagudpod, Ilocos Norte. It's a concrete coastal bridge 1.3 kilometers long and 9.42 meters wide that connects the Ilocos region to Cagayan. Completed and opened in 1986 and it is the 4th longest bridge in the Philippines.
On our next stop to rest for the night is Ballesteros, a 4th class municipality in Cagayan. So far, the road to Ilocos Norte is awesome, it is a bikers haven unlike Cagayan, there are some areas that are under construction. So bikers be cautious of your speed.
On our 3rd day after having a peaceful sleep in Ballesteros, we decided to stroll down the beach to breath fresh air before saddling up to continue our north loop.
Majority voted to make a side trip to Aparri, the 1st class municipality of Cagayan, its sits at the mouth of the Cagayan river, the longest river in the Philippines. It is the primary growth center of Northern Cagayan.
Another stop to Tuguegarao city to have a quick lunch then head back on route to Isabela, Nueva Viscaya, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac to the freeway back to Manila.
It was such a joy ride, almost 1,300 kilometer of pure fun and adventure. Thanks to my dear bike buddies, the Kawasaki Versys Adventure Riders. More adventure rides to come!
