We used to have one years ago whenever they first came out. Stock this bike was awesome. The only thing we added was a backrest. Nothing as far as cruisers could keep up with it at the time. Stock exhaust was impressive. Paid $10k cash new...

What I don't like about it is that it has a 1st short gear! At like 40km an hour you need to shift to 2nd, otherwise rpm goes way up and it screams! What are your thoughts on it?

@@drifterawh Not 'normally'... but Harley Like to fly their flag, and call all other cruisers 'copycats'. I love Harleys, but the Yam XV1900 and the Kawa VN2000 have better brakes, cheaper to buy, more reliable , parts are cheaper and they will both destroy a hog at the lights. Most Harley riders know this... and quietly give a nod...

It has been proven that the Japanese bikes are more reliable and dependable than that of a Harley Davidson. They are cheaper to maintain and spend more time with the rider than in the shop.

I have owned 2 Harley's and 3 VN2000's, I agree that the Japanese copy many things and often improve small points and we benefit, I have never been movitated by the brand more the way it's engineered and handles, have you ever riden a VN2000? you would know what I'm talking about. Great bikes thou in my opinion.
