Hi Don, good choice! 500 miles is a fair way, so expect to stop a few times to stretch out. It's very comfortable for highway use, I do a majority of my kms there. I got neck ache only the first few trips, but I hadn't been on a bike for about 10 years, so my body wasn't use to it. The Shad boxes are definitely the way to go if you're going to tour, they are watertight and very solid. The only thing I would have liked is cruise control as my wrists aren't that good anymore. High beam is very good in a straight line, but doesn't lean well, so I fitted some LED spot lights (one narrow, one wide beam). The OEM tyres are okay, but you'll notice a big difference when you put some nice rubber on. I went with Michelin Power 5 front and rear.

@@lethalz9 thanks bro I can’t wait there’s 10 of us going so I’m hoping there’s enough lights between us 😂 I been looking at SW Motech Blaze H Saddle Bag and I already got the pilot 5 and love them but now you said about you’re wrists I have the same problems so I might look into something than might help me but thanks for feedback safe riding brother

@@donkirkham9855 I bought one of those Wrist Wrest plastic throttle aid things from the bike shop, about 12 bucks. It works pretty well for my wrists. If you go that way, take it for a test ride first and get use to it, takes a little while to get the hang of it. Safe riding mate

Pretty sure it was 13400. I paid 18492 with the Shad boxes and frame, bar risers, tank grips, fork sliders and frame sliders (including fitting) and all my gear (helmet, gloves, jacket, pants, boots, chain lube)

Hello! Nice video, how tall are you? Is it confortable for someone 1m82 tall on a long journey?
@lethalz9

Thank you! I am 180cm, 183cm with my bike boots on. I have a 33" (83cm) inseam. The bike is reasonably comfortable on my 55 minute ride to work. Sometimes I stand up to stretch my legs but only ever once per trip. It is definitely more comfortable than a sportsbike. And I think it has much better ergonomics than the MT-09.

I got the 2019 model thinking of swapping for 2020 just for the specs don't get me wrong the 2019 is an awesome bike but only got abs , great vid man ride safe , from uk

It'd be foolish to swap. Hang onto yours. That 2019 bike with its gorgeous LED dash is fantastic. Don't take a financial bath for ABS and LCD screen.

The traction control did it for me. I wasn't going to get a bike without it. The reason, I ride rain, hail or shine and Queensland roads are generally pretty crap in the rain. If you don't need traction control, the bike is almost exactly the same.

theEntreriCode I've decided to take your advice I'm keeping what I've got, like you said the financial bath would be a waist considering I've already got an awesome bike , thanks for advising me to take a rain check , ride safe man 👊🏽

As per your experience should someone go for ktm duke 790 or z900?
@lethalz9

Depends what you want out of the bike. I think the KTM would be more fun, whereas the Z900 is more refined. I mainly ride to work and back, 50 minutes each way, so I needed something super reliable and smooth and comfortable on the highway.

We are on stage 3 lockdown. Schools still open for essential workers. I am still working 5 days a week, so I'm allowed to ride to work and back home.

We're in lockdown here in India as well, I'm an Engineer manufacturing stuff for the testing kits, ventilators etc, so I drive.to work every day as well. Wish I still had a bike, need to get one soon.
