i have a 2021 z900 same colors. I rider every day to work and back 20 minutes each way both thru town and a bit of highway. its awesome. the 2 mods 1 inch handlebar risers, mirror extenders. I finally got to sit on a mt-09 and I didn’t like it. Felt like I was sitting on it like a dirt bike and didn’t feel as good as my z900. Glad I went with the z900. The z900 also felt more premium to me.

I have a 2022, 3,600+ miles, black with the kinda matte navy blue tank and matte navy blue accents. I'm 6'3" and I weigh about 180lbs with a 34 inseam. I must say that I'm REALLY happy with my purchase. It was the least expensive out of the middle weights that I looked at but a lot of bang for my buck. I was SO set on getting a 2022 Gixxer 750 but a friend of mine convinced me to go the naked/standard route. I'm glad you're enjoying the bike. Thanks for the video and ride safely 👊🏾.

Love my 2023 z900. Best thing to do is immediately change the tires. The stock tires spun every time I clutched up a wheelie. Just put Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tires on and made a huge difference in traction. No more wheel spin when clutching up mono’s. I think the z900 is a perfect street bike for hooligans. Loved the 600 super sports and and 1000cc super bikes I had, but the z900 is a more practical street bike with the low gearing, and torque low down in the rev range. Bike pulls in all gears. No need to gear down unless your really wanting to hammer it.

Thank you for the review, I just saw this at my kawi dealership near me and was instantly drawn to it. I wanted to find some reviews that were fairly recent with a good feedback for it and I will say I like what I hear about it, my first bike is the Ninja 650 sport and its been great, but I want something with a bit more torque and this one was one of my picks. So thank you! Time to start saving.

I have the 2022 black and white one and have enjoyed it. It is quick. I too only ride for pleasure. Try riding at least one day a week which usually 150 to 300 miles when I do ride. One thing that gets uncomfortable is my booty which usually starts hurting around the 1.5 hour mark. Great bike. I had to adjust throttle cable. Had too much play in it.

If you take the seat off, there are 2 rubber spacers. One side is bigger than the other. I flipped the spacers and the seat is a tad more comfortable. It doesn’t force you forward quite as much imo. Plus, it’s an easy fix compared to a 700-800 brand new seat lol

This bike also can be a great tourer. SHAD bags are an incredible addition. However, the only real limitation to longer term cruising is the discomfort of the seat which is largely due to the angulation of the seat which tends to drive your crotch into the tank. I have attempted to fix this by raising the front of the seat by putting the front tongue of the seat on top of the frame instead of under the frame. And be careful of adding any screens to this bike cause if you don't get the wind to go over the top of your helmet you will get horrible buffeting noise. The best windscreen is no windscreen.....and I have attempted on many other bikes to buy a windscreen. The most amazing part of this bike is that the engine is so well designed that you can ride on curvy roads in 6th gear with no strain at low speeds and low rpm.

If you ran the same sizes (120/70-17 and 180/55-17) you should not have a problem. TC and ABS read wheel speed sensors. The ECU is programmed to look at wheel RPM between the front and back, and if that RPM variation falls outside the programmed numbers, it will trip a fault.

these bikes are fine for touring tbh. you just need the best seat possible and a higher windscreen. I used my old GSXS 750 for 10 hour days multiple times. Only thing that hurt was my ass due to not getting an upgraded seat >.< it'll never be a cruiser, no, but it's way more fun once you get to your destination than a cruiser lol

So you don't think a Z900 could not do a cross-country tour? You are so absolutely wrong! Back in the early 1970s, I toured the Southern half of the United States on a 1971 Honda CB350. It was comfortable, reliable, sporty and fun. You know so little about motorcycles! My son did the same thing on his used Kawasaki GPZ550. He enjoyed the one-month long trip so much, that he did it again the following year on the same motorcycle. So you are wrong little buddy.
