I've looked at these several times debating if I should purchase for my tools at home....never thought of using it for my tackle, Thanks for the idea!!

This is a very cool organizer/tackle box, but speaking from many years experience in kayak fishing, you will enjoy yourself so much more if you go much lighter and more simple. I carry a couple rods and one Plano tray/waterproof box. I put my tray and a few things like pliers and a Boca grip in a little tool bag. That bag and a lunch bag, and I'm good to go. God bless and CARRY on.

Yes, the more I go, the less I want to take each time. It makes it much more enjoyable as too many things are just in the way or difficult to fine.. I suppose if I was going on 2 day trips, i'd pack more, but less and simpler is much more enjoyable.

Very nice use of space and very functional. However I'm not for sure if you've ever flipped a kayak, but I can tell you that your boxes and poles will go to the bottom of the lake. Recommended something more than relying on the bungie cord. Good luck and safe fishing.

No kidding. This system is border line retarded with all of that BS. Might be nice in a bass boat, but in a kayak this is just dumb. I tried to be nice but this guy is a know-it-all jackass.

I did the same thing with the RIGID crate and clear top organizer on top. The Dewalt tough system works great for camping supplies!! I use a big rolling one, cooler, and medium size for food. Awesome Job!!

I have been using Dewalt tools for years and I love them, BUT their tool boxes are garbage. The Rigid boxes hold up much better. This is not just an opinion. we have proven this in the field. I could give you pictures if we could post them here.

Great idea, I just bought my 1st kayak and I'm the process of getting it geared up. I was about to purchase one of those expensive crate bags today when I came across your video. So glad I didn't, I ended up buying the craftsman version (IP54/dust & water resistant) which was a better fit for me. Great idea about the rod lanyards also. You saved me a good chunk of money. Thanks for sharing.

How have those d-rings held up over time on the box? Did you screw them or bolt them into the box?
@antonpavlovsky3062

Terrence Hearst I used 10-24 SS screws with washer on the head and lock nuts on the back. They are holding up great. The powder coating is in good shape. If you’re using with Bonafide kayak, you’ll need to open the clasp and turn the ring to fit the Omni hooks.

If it doesn't now it will when the top cracks like almost every Dewalt tool box with any use. Go with Rigid, it's a much better tool box. Tools...not so much. Dewalt is much better for actual tools.

Josh Cravens thanks! Together, it’s 19.175 according to each of the specs added up. Taller than a standard crate or blackpak, but very accessible. I try to swap out boxes to keep the weight down. Average is about 20lbs. So much room, you could put half of Academy in there!

I sometimes take the extra 3600 Plano box and fill with terminal tackle and then take select soft plastics and just use the bottom deep box.
