Thanks, Tony! I just got started in kayak fishing and am acquiring gear as it's needed. Well said: take the minimum amount of gear in order that one might spend more time fishing rather than changing lures.

I see you put pvc on your t. Bone. That’s a great idea. Also a pvc holder/stop in the bed? I load a pro angler 12. May need to change to an outback eventually. To hard to paddle this tank. Great vid as always. Thanks 🙏

Yep its 2.5 inch pvc and it slides right onto the T-Bone. From there I just built it out to run into the truck bed. When not in use it folds up and can stand it up against the wall in my garage.

Hey Tony. You should make a video of that t bone setup pvc build & loading. Would be amazing. And very helpful I use pool noodles now in my t bone and that doesn’t last long. They always coming off and ripping. Thanks for the amazing videos. Loving my Shimano FL 👍🏻🙏🎣

Enjoy the walk through. I just picked up a new Outback and am ready to get it out. This is my first peddle drive. How stable is the Outback to stand in? Also, what’s the advantage of attaching a 5’ line to your anchor pole instead of just sticking it through the trolley? Thanks man, enjoy the channel.

thanks for the walk through. I fish out of a 2019 Outback too. I'm curious about how you load and unload from your truck with the stern in the front of your bed. It almost looks like you have some kind of PVC rack in there? Can you describe your load/unload process? The rudder on the outback is in such a vulnerable position and I'm always looking for a better way to handle the boat. Thanks!

Hey Tim! I typically back right up to the water and slide the kayak right off and into the water. I set the nose down and hop into the bed and grab the rear handle and swing the back end out and onto the ground.

Great video! Like others, I have some followup questions. What kind of bed extender are you using and how do you load/unload your kayak from the truck
@bcp5296d

Hmm, I'd suggest a bait bucket and $10 bubbler (about 15$ total and you'll double to triple the amount of fish you catch on some days), and a 4 ft cast net. But then you wouldn't sell as much bass pro swi.....I mean slim shadys, so I get it ;)

Hey Tony, I went with this exact anchor set up Stick It Pin and all and couldn't be happier with the quality and convenience. I just got the ram mounts and found the pin doesn't really fit in them as well as a paddle due to the smaller diameter. I haven't been out on the water with them yet and just wondered if you've had any issues.

Power pole micro anchor vs anchor trolley for inshore fishing? Besides price
@tonyacevedo3149
4 жыл бұрын
I have gone back forth trying to decide if I want the power pole, but the main reason why I haven't gone with it is because you can only anchor from the rear. So you are stuck facing one direction depending on the wind/current. With the anchor trolley you can change which direction you are facing while staying anchored. The upside of the power pole is you can anchor on just about any type of bottom (hard or soft). With an anchor pin and the anchor trolley setup, you can only anchor in soft bottom. The stand alone anchor pin will not hold or penetrate into hard bottom.

I also think that when you are fishing for spooky fish, the micro power pole is a little loud when it deploys and can spook fish.

I’m just starting to get into fishing and love the Kayak options. Just a couple of questions. 1. Where do you store keeper fish? 2. How do you launch from a pick up bed? If you have to pee, do paddle to shore? If you were to tip, how do you get back in? Thanks for sharing. I love the idea of kayak fishing.
