In this episode of In Depth Angling we go kayak fishing in the shallows for largemouth and spotted bass on Lake of the Ozarks , located in Missouri. Fishing the spring bass patterns on the lake as fish move up shallow to spawn in search of shallow gravel shoreline and structure. We break down the fishing patterns and techniques used in this video to help you pattern and catch more and bigger bass. I catch 17 bass and a crappie in this video, mostly on a topwater popper. Largemouth and spotted bass clear small circular patches on shallow gravel bottom to make nests for spawning in the spring. By using a popper to cover through the shallows you can catch these bass as they become territorial of their nests. Comment below if you have ever caught a crappie on a topwater lure before.
