Where did you start & where did you end? How long to go that distance? (asked the guy who wants to go kayaking the Credit)

Hi StarGehzer, we launched at Churchville Park and ended at Credit Meadows Park. It took about 2 hours to paddle down, and that stretch is relatively mild (not many rapids). However, if you continue on to Streetsville or Port Credit I hear the water gets a lot rougher. It would definitely make for a great day trip! Happy paddling :)

@@robandmirjana You didn't really launch from the park. At 0:29, it looks like you're on the west bank, to the west of the actual park.

@@ChristianLanctot Hey Christian, yeah you are correct. The exact location was a minute away from the park- right by the bridge at Creditview/ Churchville road. It's easier to find the location of the park on google lol, but you can launch there as well!

Wonderful video🤗🤗 I would like to know how to go back to the starting point? Against the river to paddle back? Or ask somebody else to drive the car to the other point to pickup? Tks.

Thanks :) you need to have two cars. It’s too strong of a current in some areas to paddle back!

Pelican has "scupper plugs" that you can use to put on your kayak. I believe it would be the small one and they come in a pack of 4. Anyways, great video, happy paddling and stay safe!

How did you find using kayaks down the river? My buddies and I just use blow up boats, and when you hit those rapids/rocks, it's a nightmare to get though, I usually just get out and walk to a deeper spot, since distributing your weight can be a nightmare ! Kinda kills the experience, wondering if I should just bite the bullet for a kayak

Hey, great question. Kayaks aren’t that bad as long as the water level isn’t too low. There are a few spots where you get stuck, but a hard wiggle/hump and you’re out. I’ve never needed to climb out and push it. I’ve done it with a canoe before and it was a nightmare… we had to get out several times and push it.

1:53 ... also called "strainers". These can be dangerous. Avoid if possible.
