I didn't think that bowl was ever going to shine, but you did it and it turned out looking great.

I would be terrified trying to convert an antique pipe into a filtered pipe. You must have nerves of steel.

Thank You. Sometimes it goes badly and the tenon will break. I have been able to repair all so far. I have some 9mm replacement tenons. Thank you for watching.

Always love watching you work. Question… you refurbish lots of pipes. I know you do this for a hobby, do you ever sell any or do you take on pipes for other people to refurbish? Just wondering. Great video!

Thank You. Yes, this is a hobby for me. So I don’t do work for others. I usually sell on eBay. Email me anytime to enquire about a pipe you have seen in my video. If I convert the pipe that means I plan to keep it and add it to my collection, at least for a while. Here is a link to one of my listings. www.ebay.com/itm/186223086758?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=llVaRnflRTO&sssrc=2051273&ssuid=llVaRnflRTO&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

You mentioned some briars are harder to take a finish but wasn’t sure you said why and also wasn’t for certain you mentioned how you remedied it. Just interested. Thanks
@The_Southland_Piper

Not really sure why. I just have to spend more time to get some pipes to buff. Many pipes may only take 10 minutes to buff up nice. Others may take 30 minutes. Thank you for watching.

Curious what buffing compound you’re using at 8:05 … looks almost like bee’s wax. Nice job on the pipe.

I forgot to ask when we visited, which filters do you use? Thanks again
@The_Southland_Piper

6mm is Dr. Perl Filter Junior Filter. 9mm is Dr. Perl Filter Junior Filter for pipe with the smaller filter chamber. For the larger filter chamber pipe I use Savinelli. If you use Dr. Perl Junior 9mm filters but they will fall out of the filter chamber then you probably need some Savinelli filters or comparable.
