I notice kids not wearing any shoes in the chicken house.... we used to go barefoot all the time at the horse farm. I'm sure we got exposed to all sorts of healthy "germs"! Most people are so germ conscious and keep their kids in sterile environments which does not allow them to build healthy immune systems. I'm really enjoying your videos!!

Wonderful video. Love to see you and children working together, hearing and seeing kids laughter as they play in straw reminds me of my childhood.

Hey guys....Lower your nesting boxes and take off those orange flaps. You will not have eggs on the ground. If you still have the problem then just put woodchips on the ground and straw in the nesting boxes.

Having recently discovered your channel, I am still binge watching all I've missed. Is there any reason you have a second level or partition (I'm not sure what it is) in your hoop house chicken coop?

I kept two separate batches of chickens that were six months apart in age. That way I could keep a steadier flow of eggs and shell quality.

Any one who can put 8 bales of straw in a "man" van, much less 14 gets a subscription. Can't wait to see how many tons of pig feed you can get in there once your wife goes away for a weekend and you get some.

HA! Right on! 😁 We shall see about that… 😉 I do regularly haul 1,200lbs. of chicken feed back there 😁
