Stay cool with these summer running tips:
💧 Hydrate before your run, and if you can’t, always bring water with you. I love my foldable bottle-it’s so convenient to tuck away once it’s empty.
🧢 Don’t underestimate the power of a good cap. A cap with a sweatband can make you feel less sweaty, delaying the feeling of heat and making your run more comfortable.
👕 When temperatures go over 13-14°C, switch to lighter gear like a singlet. It keeps you feeling fresh and cool.
🌅 Run early in the morning or late in the evening when it’s cooler. Adjust your pace for the heat; every 2°C over 16°C can affect your pace by 5-20 seconds per kilometer.
🌳 If you find a shaded trail, take it! Running under trees can make the air feel cooler.
