I love how some people can have more fun with their $300 beater than another can have with a $400,000 Ferrari and make real memories. This is what it's all about. Fuck the haters, just get in there and have a go. It is easy to be obsessed about the machinery but don't forget, drifting is a human sport, human passion, don't make fun of someone because they aren't complying with how it "should" be done, give a cheer and support anyone who's enthusiastic.

Mighty Car Mods is perhaps one of the greatest channels on youtube. Last night I watched Chasing Midnight and I was absolutely "floored" (see what I did there?). I just watched this film (Kei To The City) and my goodness am I blown away. It's not just that these guys are fun, funny, informative and clever but also because they have a knack for conveying the emotion of the lifestyle while doing so with much precision and professional prowess but also keeping it light. Perfection in execution is how I would describe this video as well as many of their other ones. This is something I just do not see with the motorcycle community. I am a motorcycle guy but first and foremost, I was a car guy and this channel has been a big part of my falling in love with cars all over again. Yesterday I adjusted the coilovers on my EP3 for the very first time all the while listening to a Moog playlist via youtube. Smashing, I say. When I finished watching these two films, I was left feeling VERY happy and I admit, with a little bit of tears. Tears of joy. Tears of sheer emotional bliss. I wish I could hang out with these guys! Thank you MCM for brightening up my day like a mofo.

Comeback years later to see this is emotional. This was such a beautiful journey. I remember waiting for this episodes to drop. I appreciated Moog really trying to understand western interpretation of JDM from Japanese who just do it to enjoy the car rather than to fit in. I can honestly say I have watched every episode even the short videos that randomly posted on KZitem. I found the channel in 2010. It was a tough time in my life. I was a single dad in a rocky relationship and suffering from depression. Watch you guys laugh and smile so much made me feel like in someway I could come for the ride. You guys were and are unapologetically yourself. Honestly you guys made “TRD Lazer” … if that’s no classic then what is? Moog I always loved your mixes and Renee’s voice is magical. I miss the MCM days of “Jack up your car” and “Can this fit on my Honda”. PS I shared “Electric Space Wizard” with so many of my friends years ago. You guys have no idea how good this stuff make us feel and how important it has been. Thanks Marty and Moog.

The ending made me cry. Not because it was sad, but because it was beautiful to see people who share one interest, the love of cars, bonding. I wish the rest of the world could learn from this, not only in the car world, but in general. I own a 1.4 civic, it may not be the fastest, and people may say they have a better car, but I sit in it everyday, I smile when I drive it and I'm happy I got a car. Cars don't care what kind of person you are. They don't care for the job you have, the color of your skin. They don't judge you for your past and don't make assumptions of your future nor will they decide to leave your life one day. Cars give you what they were born to do. Freedom. To give freedom to those who grip the steering wheel. Freedom to those who don't find peace anywhere else. Cars are an escape but only to those who understand what their car is telling them.

Japan is so awesome! Everybody seems so laid back, just trying to live their lives and have fun. That's how it's supposed to be! Making friends would be so easy in Japan, I love it. Have to visit one day for sure..

old comment but you're seeing literally a specific community of japan which is also just a sub community. You can't judge and entire country based off one sub scene

I wonder why this community is so advanced and yest so chill at the same time? That's right, no western religion! Everywhere with western religious practices is full of hate and ignorance, I think Japan looks great!

Modern Western culture lacks any religious practice what so ever, unless you're talking about immigrant religion. I'd say it was more because of the fact that Japan hasn't been raped by destructive immigration policies, so their communities are not divided like mine is in the UK.

funny thing is these people are considered bad people over there. its seen by their western/hiphop clothing style. most japanese are cool with foreighners being different and they accepot them easily, but when japanese people dress differently they get spewed out and labeled as bad real quick. its also probably one of the reasons the scene is all about doing what you want and dont care what others think as much, not as stuck up as car scenes elsewhere around the world and this probably creates a greater bond and chill vibe overall.

This drifting film taught me something that I never really knew. The whole time I was thinking what other people though about a car, but that's not what it really is. It's what you want and what you make of it. Thank you MCM and lovely Japan.

I am new to your channel. I actually saw the behind the scenes before the actual film itself! I loved it. Perhaps it was a little drawn out. I have seen a few of your videos and feel the same there as well. However, I loved the ending. The music was fantastic and loved the footage of everyone together and I honestly started clapping with you guys at the end too! Loved it and you guys produce quality videos. I really enjoy your work. Congratulations and thank you guys for putting the time, money and effort into this.
