This was the most grownup PMQs I've ever seen. The question is why couldn't the Tories have done a similar thing when they were in office? To me, there was a greater sense of leadership and direction.

It's worth remembering that Starmer won with less votes then Corbyn got in either 2017 or 2019 elections. It shows what a total scam UK democracy is and how complicit the media is in that scam. Starmer is going to do nothing except make sure the rich get richer and eventually you guys will get the reform party you deserve. Corbyn was the UK's last chance to get off the sinking ship of neoliberalism and it's Siamese twin, colonial violence. The system works.

zz the latest glib buzzword for people to sound clever with. ... I mean the two main parties themselves aren't really parties in the sense that that statement implies. Because of FPTP, they are more like groups of smaller parties, with a huge range of beliefs and major disagreements between them. It was this fact that ripped the Tories apart. So the idea that both parties are somehow unified in some kind of consensus - or that anyone can make them do that - about moving forward in a unified fashion is just idiotic .... it's so obvious undermined by the briefest observation of what actually happens.

look how much mature and real the parliament is now that the tories are out of power...its all serious business, rather than a big laugh as the tories line their pockets. and laugh their way through , refuse to answer proper questions ..jeer and jeer, and all turn red in the face with too much jeering.then back to the bar for more beers, acting like kings..with the tories in charge it was just the old boys club having a big laugh and blowing smoke up boris johnsons fundament
