I've never been to a six flags. Is the food and operations as bad as I've heard across all six flags?
@kittencuddler1072
9 ай бұрын
@@metallicnole4514 depends on the park and the time of year, summer is when the parks seem run "best", but six flags is still considered the budget theme park so take that as you will. Fiesta Texas and Magic Mountain seem to be the top parks, Fiesta Texas is very quickly raising above to the #1 six flags park with all the amazing changes and enhancements the park president there has been adding. However, with the recent Cedar Fair Merger, who knows what will happen to the quality of the food and operations from here on out. Fun Fact: In the roller coaster/amusement park enthusiast groups, you will often hear someone refer to their day as a "Six Flags day" if it went especially horrible, when rides are down, and when the staff and food is poor. This is mocking the phrase "Have a Six Flags day!" the employees are known for repeating thru out the day. TLDR: Yes, at most six flags parks, at most times of year.

Seeing Keith take a bite out of a pouch pickle with Hey Soul Sister playing in the background was crazy! Considering Kaylin had such success when left alone with the company card and simple directions it sounds like she should be left alone with it more often 😂The story of Magic Mountain in particular is that SeaWorld founder George Millay was looking for a spot around Los Angeles to build a park, knew that a group called Newhall Land and Farming Company had undeveloped land in Valencia, and then it opened in 1971. When it opened, it had 33 attractions, many of which were built by Arrow Development who also helped build Disneyland rides like Mad Tea Party, Haunted Mansion, and the Casey Jr. Circus Train. It became a Six Flags park in 1979. Though that last park you showed at 0:22, Six Flags New Orleans, has a much more interesting story. It first opened in 2000 as Jazzland, but it wasn't profitable, so after its operator Alfa filed for bankruptcy in 2002, Six Flags purchased the lease and spent millions to upgrade and reopen it as Six Flags New Orleans in 2003. Eight days before Katrina, Six Flags closed on August 21, 2005 to prepare for the storm. The water from Lake Pontchartrain overwhelmed the park's drainage system, and the damage was so bad that Six Flags declared it a total loss and abandoned it. While it was abandoned, it was used as a set in Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.

As someone who used to work at a different Six Flags, they often struggle to find enough employees (mostly teenagers who hear horror stories and choose to work elsewhere) and keep individual locations properly staffed which might be why a lot of places were closed. They were probably sending the employees they did have to a select few locations.

Honestly working at an amusement park sounds like a nightmare no matter how good the staff is or fun the customers are. I’d just hate to walk across an amusement park to and from work every day.

"We're gonna funnel a lot of things into my mouth today" - Keith 2023. That rock candy wishbone bit was a perfect metaphor for the whole video. Keith is like that one uncle you see at a family party and know there's at least one decent and fun person here. How he interacted with the kids is so authentic and sweet! The fact the mother knew exactly who Keith was because she knows what her kids are watching like she thinks she’s doing bad parenting but there are worse things lol. Crazy thing about Dippin' Dots, it was meant to be cow feed! It was invented by Curt Jones in Kentucky in 1988. It was originally invented as cow feed when Jones, who specialized in cryogenics, was trying to make efficient fodder for farm animals! And here's the funnel cake lore: The concept of the funnel cake dates back to the early medieval Persian and Arab world as zalabiyeh, where similar yeast-risen dishes were first prepared, and later spread to Europe. In south German cuisine, the equivalent is called Strauben or Strieble. Pennsylvania Dutch immigrants brought a yeast dish they called drechderkuche to the US and around 1879, they developed the baking powder version along with its new name, funnel cake!

Madison was very well spoken, but Mason* (don’t think it was Max!) had wonderful manners. He must have an aunt who’s a terrible cook or something, cause every time he’d say “I love it!” with all the believable innocence of a child, but then he’d quickly follow up with a criticism. It feels like he was taught to say he loves the food no matter what, which totally lessened the blow of his critiques. Adults should learn from him!
