I knew a taxi driver who picked him up. The limo did not show up and he had to get to a Rolling Stone's concert. He saw that the driver recognized him so he sat got into the passenger seat. He conversed with the driver during the drive. When they arrived at the destination, Richards gave the driver a 100 dollar bill, on a 25 dollar tab and told him to keep it. Richards realized the guy wanted his autograph but was afraid to ask. So Richards asked him if he wanted it of which the driver readily agreed. He did not scribble it in a hurry, but signed it real nice. Down to earth guy.

You know, Mick doesn't have to jump around to songs like "Start Me Up" for it to be a great concert. And your true fans (and there are many) would prefer you and Ronnie and Mick sitting in chairs, with Mick playing harp and you and Ronnie strumming acoustic guitars. Beautiful pictures! Joe Cocker once said: every morning I'm confronted with the fact that I'm not black and that I can't do anyting about it. Here's to you Keith!

I used to play this song back in 1970 when I was 19. I had never at that point had any, and I played it slightly differently, but I loved doing it. Later on, I had some fun with the drug here and there, and didn't equate the song with my experience of it, but it was still a good song to play to quiet down the evening. Never got hooked on any drug, so I never played any drug songs with the soul that comes from that.

Reminds me a lot of Mississippi John . Keith's extremely talented, hell of a blues guitarist..

And some people say he is a lousy guitarist… I’d like to hear them top this. That is some top rhythm and picking there- one of the best.

Ciao
