As a person who grew up watching Brandy as Cinderella it’s wonderful knowing Keke got a chance to play the role.

Carmen, one of the main themes of ROOTS is race. That's why a white guy wouldn't work in that role. Cinderella is not about race in any way. That's why KeKe Palmer is perfect for Cinderella, no matter her color.

I'm a black woman. And I feel Cinderella should be played by who she portrayed.... A white woman. Let's get Van Diesel to play Kunta Kintay off Roots, and See who says what.

This paves the way for Tom Cruise to play Shaka Zulu or Micheal Jackson in his biography. Maybe we can get Tom Arnold to play Martin Luther King in that movie too.

White Actors in Black Face and in Max Factors Dark Egyptian Makeup have already had their chance to play Black folks, The first Amos N Andy were white! Al Jolson made a fortune imitating Black Minstrelsy, John Barrymore, Laurence Olivier, and a score of White Actors Played The Moor before Paul Robeson was finally given the chance, White Sopranos did Aida for decades before a Black woman was allowed to sing her and Ava Gardner, Jean Crain, Hedy Lamar , Ingrid, Bergman etc etc all played women of color or mixed race in films while Black Actors were passed over .What you suggest has been done .Now that Blacks get to step out of the racial straightjacket imposed by casting you mock and jeer! Get Stuffed!

@@joemiller6975 I am suggesting that instead of casting POC in existing creations, they could write their own stories about POC. You know, make a viable creative product instead of banking on 12 mentally ill twitter SJWs buying enough tickets to carry the whole thing. Anyhow, this whole production failed miserably 4 months after keke joined the cast. She literally emptied the place. Then they restarted the show for a national tour and didn't invite her back.

Lonnie, she did have a love interest in the movie about r and b group TLC. It was Diana Ross' son Evan. But he is bi racial though.

I get what you're saying Claudia. I still feel a white woman should play her. That's my opinion. That's your opinion that Ke Ke is perfect for the role. At the end of the day, I really don't give a damn who plays her, I'm sure I'll watch it.
