What I think is going on here is that these ladies may have seen what Caitlin said when she was asked who gives her advice, and she said, “Nobody gives me advice. I wish.” It was a very telling moment. So these great competitors on the Aces are like, she’s a great player who’s getting hated on, and she’s getting no help. She’s feeling all alone with the weight of expectations on her shoulders. The girl just wants to play ball. Notice when Plum comes to her to give her some “good game” love with some actual affection and touch, Caitlin instinctively recoils! No doubt she recoils because the only touch and affection she’s gotten from competitors thus far is blindsides and head smashes. So she recoils. Plum, to her credit, goes back in as if to say, “No girl, I got you. Good game.” It was beautiful.

Now I get it, I'm sure people get tired of having to talk about her, but the more the "space" went on, it seemed like they we're going out of their way to discuss her. There were at least three obvious instances where anyone else would have at least referenced her merely as a natural part of the discussion. Not only during the "All-Star" talk and the ROY discussion, but when the comedian, Mel, whom I love, asked two questions, "What is a pick and pop," and "What is a fast break," to me, the easiest go-to reference (Not the only), especially since Mel said she was just learning about the league, would have been for the commenters to reference a Clark highlight. Mel even ASKED for a "visual," yet they kept speaking in X's and O's, which seemed like a ridiculous length they were going to, even in the mode of trying to educate a newb about the game, to avoid uttering 2-2's name. And I say this as someone who is not part of the "Clark fan" contingent. Just a fan of the game, especially Aliyah Boston and Jackie Young!

If they want the increased revenue, it's going to come from increased interest from fans . With the fans in the arena and watching on tv, players that new fans may not know about may catch their attention and maybe learn that some of the players that you have only heard negative things about are really not as bad as what they have been made out to be .

Caitlin Clark Until stumbling over a news item, I had less than no interest in women's basketball, at any level. . One Second of seeing CC-22 impersonating Stephen Curry hooked me! The second second and I realized Caitlin Clark wasn't copying anybody! . Because what I know is based on clips showing her shooting half-court 3-pointers and making magical passes, reminiscent of Magic Johnson to Kareem when everyone in the stadium and home in front of their television KNEW the Sky-Hook was coming and nobody could stop it, I see patterns where the playing style of CC-22 is changing the team. Boston figured out that all she has to do is get below the basket, stick out a mitt and the basketball would appear in it. . Anyway, I think she is playing perfectly, playing her game and letting the team adjust to things like having a pass actually come to them, and supporting each others play. I think I see a team in name becoming a team in practice.

She misses her 3 ftrs, she has 11 (actually 15) assists, which is minimum 22 pts. So she accounted for 35 points.

You are right about CC’s game. I think she needs learn to pump fake, improve the mid range shots and improve her handles. Curry had the same issues as far as improving the handles and throwing the ball away.

She just needs to shoot, if she's in a funk - shoot some more. The NBA shooters are always told to keep on shoooting, to shoot their way out. They are never told to stop shooting. It is clear to see that she sometimes second guess her shots now, especially when her initial shots didn't go in. She doesn't have that license to shoot...or doesn't feel she has it yet which she had in college.

I think it is too early to call MVP. Let’s wait until after the Olympics, after the play-offs and give everyone a fair look. Angel Reese and Caitlyn Clark are both doing incredibly well. I’m a huge Caitlyn Clark fan, but I do not think it’s right that we talk so early about Caitlyn being rookie of the year because it appears everyone has chosen based on popularity rather than improvement and impact. Everyone was floating Caitlyn before the Fever even won the game. And I get that, and I’m rooting for her. BUT I’m also watching Angel Reese KILLING IT on the court, and I have to say that while I’m rooting for Caitlyn, we all HAVE to be aware of how fabulous Angel is playing. It isSO RARE to get into the league as a Rookie yet alone become a starter in the game. This year, we had around 10 that made the final rosters and we have 4 nationally know Rookie starters- one even making the Olympic 3x3 team until her injury. That is a HUGE accomplishment for each of them. Any other year, Angel would be the odds, on media favorite, phenom player, Rookie of the year. We need to keep the conversation open so her extraordinary accomplishments are celebrated. By having a neck and neck race, we bring awareness to the Rookie accomplishments and celebrate the win fir the WNBA.

The thing that is noticeable is the angel/CC talk is that it seems like men support CC & women (esp BW) are all Angel … I think its bc men appreciating the skill and BW are emotionally attached to Angel where men aren’t… men like the step back 3s, the court vision & passing her skill but with Angel, BW bring up her personality, her fits, her box score stats, but never her actual court skills (bc it’s not that appealing) then get mad with BM for “defending” CC when it’s valuing the skill in her game, not caring anything about who she is personally

Well said and I have to agree with you 100% on that Angel Reese gets 3 to 4 of her rebounds off her own missed shots a game I've seen her just chunk up a many of shots and then rebound it chunk it up again then rebound it and finally finish it up like I said I've seen it quit a few times but I'm not saying that she doesn't have any talent just that her style of play is BORING to watch just chunking it up like she does some time but like Caitlin Clark she is a rookie and she will b get better but I'd rather see a great assist to a teammate than anything I can appreciate a great bounce pass or length of the floor pass more than anything but a step back long 3 pointer once in a while ain't bad either!!!

The fever are beginners gel. I felt bad for CC in the sense that she bagged up as if she thought Kelsey was going to harm her. Good to see vets stepping up showing these rooks respect...but as for the comments on the WNBA's official site, comments from fans are just comments especially for fans of individuals and not the game itself. Votes play a part (but people are going to vote for their favs not from stats and numbers), which is totally fine. I feel Fair should definite have gotten a mention rather she was the leading candidate or not (lets talk about all of the contenders). That I agree with but Angels mention is valid as far as the numbers she is putting up (the off court style is just a different layer to her celebrity rn...she is brand atp)..Reese and Clark are household names before entering the professional ranks...so this a huge difference that everyone is adjusting to and try is to navigate. Normally you would go pro and work your way into sfardom, but these two especially have changed that dynamic. I enjoy both and they will forever be linked(GOOD, BAD, or INDIFFERENT).

Not surprised the fever were outcoached and played by a better team the fever are in the bottom 3, LV is in the top 3 this team is not built to win and the coach doesn't know how to teach them how to win.
