Eric Fedde is such a pro! Great move of the White Sox to sign him to multi-year deal. Best of luck to him, wherever his career takes him!

STL fans have always been like that - appreciate greatness. Interesting to see what would've happened in Philly, NY or Boston. GUARANTEE they don't cheer and one or 2 of those bases Boo !

You act like not cheering for the team you’re against is a crime . Good for you cheering , I’m not until they are on my team or retired

The overreliance of analytics by the Blue Jays is why Vogelbach is staying for now. Vogelbach's advanced metrics make him look like a stud - .338 xwOBA, .260 xBA, .432 xSLG; and his exit velocity, hard hit, chase rate, whiff rate, and walk rate are all quite good. Expected numbers is one thing. Actual numbers are another. Analytics sometimes replaces common sense.

To be fair, Biggio was only mentioned in the same breath with Bo and Vlad when they were coming up because of his dad's rep, as the other two had MLB heritage as well. In terms of skills, nah, Cavan wasn't on the same plain as Bo and Vlad. That said, though, the trading of Cavan definetly says something about the relative panic that's going on in Toronto, Re: Bo's horrendous slump, Vlad's trend towards warning track power (even if his OPS+ suggests that he's closer to being a potential MVP than he displayed last year) and the rest of holes in the line-up and pen that has the team suckin' and blowin' to a sub .500 level. The Jays org pumped the tires of this group of young players non-stop in 2018 and 2019, and the acquisition of a handful of establish big-league talents certainly made it appear the club was trying to legitimately win (Ryu, Springer, Semien, Gausman, Kikuchi, Bassitt, etc). But the competitive window the Jays sold to fans, messaging that the team's broadcaster echoed mindlessly, appears to be closing with the unimpressive way that the last two seasons ended and this campaign has depressed. It's not Cavan's fault that these Blue Jays can't hit with runners on. Cavan was turned into a utility player early on in his Jays career. The Jays hitters not doing anything with SLG in mind, certainly not since the Marcus Semien year, most certainly has the org getting nervous that they're finally going to be held accountable by ownership. That relative panic in Atkins' and Shapiro's heart has to be the reason they DFAed Cavan, who has only had the confidence and respect of the team's bosses in years past, setting the scene for more IKF (he's producing), more Vogelbach, more Davis Schneider, more Spencer Horwitz. Basically, the Jays are throwing anything they have at the wall, hoping something sticks, praying some line-up configeration changes the way shit's been going. The Jays, John Schneider, Pete Walker, Donny Baseball, and all the khakis in the front office, not to mention the Shatkins boys, are living the old English saying, 'squeaky bum time.' Cavan being voted off the island is but the first reality TV twist to happen if the boys in the Jays nest don't get their shit right before the deadline.

Seattle Mariners fan here, very impressed with the pitching of Fedde and Thorpe the past couple nights. White Sox may have worse record in baseball but their pitching looks hopeful for the future.

Is this Yankees dodgers podcast ? I get it those two markets need to be talked about out some but they he whole dang show JH Christ . If biggio got traded to Cincinnati it would be a nothing burger . Because it’s a nothing burger . Rosen mentioned guards as a team to watch out for , nothing said just let’s talk about the Yankees . You know how much yankee dodger content there already is ? There’s 28 other teams in this league let’s go !

Cavan should do better with a different hitting coach. Seeing the underperformance of Toronto's offense this season and last season, something isn't right with the organization.
