This was the song that convinced me it was time to do actual work on myself. “Count me out” and “Father Time”. Classic album.

Definitely not my favorite Kendrick album. But it’s crazy to me how “count me out” and “crown” are the only songs ever to make me shed tears. The greatest he is. Let’s appreciate him while he’s here. King Kendrick.

@@L_JABBAR you’re really not lying. It’s wild how much it’s actually growing on me years after it released. I’m sorry there’s nobody meshing sounds like he does on it. According to a source: "Count Me Out" came from a jam session led by DJ Dahi with guitar player Danny McKinnon and was originally considered for a DJ Dahi album before he eventually played the song for Kendrick and gave it to him. Includes same choir vocals from the released version.

@@mmmihir Yeah tpab trumps all, that's that honestly. As for mr morale and damn, Kendrick needed to make MM more than damn was but damns just done so impeccably well. Kendrick could have made mr morale many ways and still kept it to the same personal confrontational sort of stuff (not that that goal is bad btw). Damn could have only been told the way it was, the way it's ordered around the whole double concept of the word (oh damn.../damned to hell) is just top tier for me.... and to anyone whos reading this and has no clue what we are on about here, I envy you, and listen to all of Kendricks songs right now!!!
