Keni Burke is giving a FREE CONCERT on June 25th 2022 at The Coney Island Amphitheater in Coney Island, Brooklyn, New York. He will be opening for Stephanie Mills. Back in the 70's Keni Burke was signed by Beatle George Harrison for his Dark Horse Records label. He did an album entitled "2nd Resurrection" with the Stairsteps produced by Billy Preston. He also did a self titled Keni Burke album on the Dark Horse label. After this period Keni Burke signed to RCA/BMG for Risin to the Top and a lot more! Now RCA and Dark Horse Records are owned and Distributed by BMG. Would love to see all this great music reissued on vinyl and CD again!

Oh my goodness!!! I have loved Keni Burke and his family ,The Five Stairsteps FOREVER !!!! My parents(RIP) took me and my two sisters to see The Five Stairsteps at the New York’s Apollo Theater when we were children. Not only did their mother and father come out to sing but they introduced the audience to little Cubie who I think at the time was three years old.We all enjoyed the show so much. They were indeed the first family of soul and should be recognized as such. They should be inducted into the rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame as far as I am concerned..I love Keni Burke’s Keep Rising To The Top ,The Invisible Man’s Band All Night Thing which are two songs that will NEVER EVER get old and all of the songs that The Five Stairsteps ever recorded !! I was extra proud to find out we share the same last name of Burke which is my maiden name lol.Keni is a great performer and his voice and bass playing are as smooth as silk. I STILL play their music on a regular.RIP Cubie, Clarence Jr, and James. 🌹🌼🌻🌷💐🌸

This one named guy, Keni Burke, may be the most underrated legend of his time. Talent and understated swag - personified. He's serving that bass line like a killa' slam dunk @5:36- 5:52. 5 star performance in my humble assessment.

I knew Keni back in the 5 Stairsteps & Cubie days. Me and my friends would hangout with them. We always had a blast. Keni and his siblings were always down to earth and welcoming! And he can play the strings off of that Bass! I hope Rick James & LL CoolJ gave him royalties for copying his Bass style and Bass riff!!

I can't get past the intro lyrics because of the flat loud out of tune female in the audience. Kenny Burke is cool, holds his own on bass and vocals. But someone needs to throw some water or a drink on this woman just to shut her up.
