You are a rare breed repairman that actually repairs circuit boards rather than just tossing them out. I didn't think any guys were left that did that.

Thank you so much for this video. Our range would not heat up just 2 days before Christmas. I came across your video and this was the exact problem with our range. After a pulling the back off of the over I found the problem just as you said. I re-soldered the circuit board and everything works perfectly. Your video saved us thousands by not having to get a new range just before Christmas. Thank you so much!!!!!!

Extremely helpful video. Glad you shared it. Saved me a lot on a service call and new circuit board. I had the exact same problem. I guessed it was something other than the power supply since the stove top works fine. And it probably wasn't bad heating elements since both weren't heating. I checked the control board and right away saw the bad solder on the pin. Easy fix for anyone that can solder. Thanks for the helpful tips about the locking tabs (mine had small pins in the center that had to be removed with needle nose pliers 1st) and being careful to make sure the 18 pins line up when putting back in place. I am guessing the 100 degrees that shows on the panel is just a minimum temp reading since in actuality it did not heat at all and was at room temp.

Great video, highly appreciated! I recently learned how to use a soldering iron, and I live in a remote place... No appliance repair shops here at all, and deeply snowed in. After our oven stopped going past 100 a few days ago, I found your video and suggested fix. You showed me exactly what to look for, what to do, and the fix worked perfectly. (Big ol' burn mark on that same spot on our board, also.)

I don’t think I ever had such a small amount of solider save me so much money. Stove wouldn’t heat 100% and it appeared both broil and bake elements wouldn’t heat, so I knew something other was up. Seen this video and knew this had to be the issue. 15minutes later had the stove working. Looks like you have to get shoulder across three pads.

Hello Sir. I have the kenmore 970-660230 induction and same thing would not go past 100. I've never soldered or fixed boards but watched this vid and mimicked your moves and my oven is now working. the burn was in the exact same place you indicated and happened to have wire brush and green pad and soldering iron that I planned to learn some day. Just want to say thank you so much, it is very generous of you so do this for the public, its easy to see this is planned obsolescence by the manufactures specifications that this would happen and may have cost me 500$ CAD to fix. Ill be sending you a little something soon in appreciation. Thank you.

I m glad you are smart and took your time to work on it and fix it . A lot of people gave up and buy new one . It’s a fairly easy repair if someone has a little bet of soldering knowledge and is a handy person ✌️ Thank you!

I have a Kenmore Elite 790.7850 and this was the exact reason why my oven would not get over 100deg. Cracked solder joint.on the relay daughter board. I had already bought new heating elements before watching this too.
