May 9, 2023---Thanks for the video and your build looks great, but...... Drove truck for 10 years all over the U.S. as an otr (over the road) driver, then went to ltl (less than loaded). Never drove a cab over which is what these kind of trucks are called. plus a few other names. Before becoming a driver, worked the parts room for a trucking company and one of the drivers there drove a cabover. He was paid an extra 2 cents a mile for doing so. Thing is, it had a sharper/better turning radius when pulling a trailer. The engine is between both seats and getting to your rack (bed/sleeping area) was a bitch as you have to climb over the engine cover. And when I got to driving, cabovers had been pretty well phased out. Then there was the chance of slipping/falling while trying to get into the truck. Been there, done that a couple of times with a regular truck, especially when the steps are wet/slippery when it snows. Imagine hitting the asphalt from a couple of feet. A common problem with ALL trucks kits is an inaccurate interior but some of this can be fixed. No seat/shoulder belt is one of 'em. There are 2 LARGE air release knobs/buttons....one's for the truck, the other for the trailer and the 2nd knob is also used as an emergency brake release. First one is red, the 2nd is yellow. Notice there's NO detailing on the inside of the doors, so arm rests and window crank handles will be needed if you cut open either door for an in use diorama. Couldn't tell if the kit provides a 5th wheel release handle or not. One thing a lot of modelers don't do, is making 2 airlines and a electrical cable on the back of their models, along with gladhands for those airlines which are also on every trailer. Every truck MUST go thru a yearly inspection and I think that's what shown to the right of the drivers door but it's mandatory to have one on the passenger side too. Thought you did an outstanding job paint and decaling wise and yes, got one of these kits, plus several types of trailers in my unbuilt stash. As for me, plan on using it and other models in some realistic zombie/apocalypse dioramas, so no Mad Max looking stuff. Trailers flimsy, usually with mahogany floors and looking at converting one where it's now a group of survivors home or make a trailer bed for one of Trumpeters cans, i.e., shipping containers. I've also got some reefers for a different trailer.

Almost the same colour scheme as the Aerodyne used in the TV show "BJ and the Bear". Anyone as old as me remember that? Come to think of it, AMT did a "BJ and the Bear" Aerodyne tie in kit in 1/25. I think I want one now (along with a "Moving On" Kenworth)

@@MOS6510Models American market for certain, but like many other shows, imported here. I lapped it up as a 11 year old in the middle of the Smokey and the Bandit/Convoy/CB radio craze of the late 70s in the UK. Movin On was another show that made all us kids want to drive Kenworth trucks when we grew up. That was until Dukes of Hazzard and Starsky and Hutch came along and then we all wanted Dodge Chargers and Gran Torinos. Still, cars and trucks did look way cooler back then. Nice work on the Aerodyne. It looks great and it's given me the itch to build a truck now.

Great build! Looks fantastic.. but... just so you know... the lights in the back that you painted orange are brake lights and should be red. The lights in the front chrome bumper that you painted orange are actually white fog lamps and should have stayed silver (or maybe painted white) regardless what you see on the box or in the instructions (model companies make mistakes all the time). Other than that vary nice build.
