@@bruceyv83 TBH, I thought the Cruiser would be the one pulling the Disco's out of 'sticky situations.' Was surprised to see it struggle with the rough climb...maybe the narrow tyres contributed?

@@iamjacobmwanga yeah, narrow road tyres wouldn't have helped. My disco surprised me how capable they are. Unfortunately they are wasted in the UK taking kids to school

@@bruceyv83 I'm glad,i enjoyed part 2 even better. I was watching while thinking it must have been frustrating for the first guy,when he kept trying to go up then ended going down the slope.Also it's nice that you helped the lorry guys.

@@msonar3h Yeah that took a lot of effort to climb that hill! We had to help the lorry, they would have been there for ages and it's always nice to meet to local people. Check out my Rock Dune video. That was my best road trip

Mate thanks for your videos, you are a secret gem. Why do u always 'adjust' tyre pressure when the car get stuck, what is the rule more pressure`?
@bruceyv83
4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! The secret is to lower the tyre pressure to get more grip. It makes the tyre footprint a bit longer like a tank track

HI, am looking to do this similar trip. Like you mentioned this place is off the beaten track and not much information online. I would like to hear your advice and recommendations for this place. Am planning to do it with a solo vehicle (Lc100) is it possible?
@bruceyv83

Parin Patel Hi, thanks for watching the video. Yes it’s a great place. The track starts here: goo.gl/maps/NK6gbHTSK5J2 and the gate where you pay to enter is here: goo.gl/maps/9AUoLU4K3SC2 (card or mpesa only). The track to this point is very good. After this point the track is mostly ok apart from one very steep rocky hill. (Where the land cruiser got stuck). At lake Ellis goo.gl/maps/UamfcsFM9AU2 there are no facilities, take your own fire wood and warm clothes. We struggled to get the fire going because of the altitude. The track is visible on google maps satellite view. Please feel free to ask anything else.
