USC Trojans Safety Taylor Mays lays the wood on Arizona Wilcats RB Keola Antolin & Nic Grigsby. Keola Antolin was Knocked Out the game due to the big hit.
I really thought this guy would wreak havoc in the league. Still a legendary college player though.

Jesus christ...on that first hit, he smacked Keola so hard that dude hit a fast 520...then dude hit the ground, but he was still spinning...he did a 180 after the 520. That's a 720 folks. Mays is a beast.

taylor mays was still in high school that season, but we could've defintely used him, 2005 was probably Pete's worst defense since he's been there and that cost us the NC, but i give it up to Vince Young, probably the best college player i have ever seen, and that list includes SC players like Leinart and Bush

true, pete also started some freshman at critical positions, like linebacker, during that game, im pretty sure Brian Cushing and Maualuga were playing during that final drive, combined with inexperience and going up against a player like VY, he was going to get in the end zone, i would love to see a rematch between SC and Texas for the NC in the Rose Bowl

@Fvantagio15 the unofficial time was 4.2 and he's been clocked at 4.2 officially just not at the combine but even 4.4 is faster then anyone else his size by far that big of a buy comin at you full blast knocks you down its physics however if mays is not at full speed it could be a different story. however he lead his team in tackles mays can wrap up but sometimes he likes to hit and those times he doesnt wrap up he's a good tackler but he has a lot of work to do in coverage

If you look at the slow mo Antolin actually hit Mays pretty hard too because they both swung and fell only Antolin weighs about 100 pounds lighter than Mays, pretty sad on Mays part imo he should have truly knocked out Antolin like the title says.
@shortymcshrimp28

He has a game similar to Roy Williams. That can be either good or bad depending on who you ask...he'll only be good on defenses that fit his style and don't need as much cover help from their safeties. If he can find a team that fits him then he will shine. (talking NFL of course)

i didn't say "knocked out" had one definition. i said one COMMON definition. look at the title. "Keola Antolin Knocked Out By Taylor Mays." that's all it says. Now look at the short description to the right of the page. What does that say? "Knocked Out the game". type "knocked out' in the youtube search bar and hit enter. what results do you get? videos of a bunch of people losing consciousness. that's awfully "common", isn't it?

@goo5976 your ignorant. hes in the nfl because he's big and can run extremely fast in a straight line. Scouts are obsessed with anyone with freakish size and speed like him. He is the best combo of size and speed in the nfl yet he hardly played a down this year. The reason is because he has no lateral speed, Hes a track star not a football player. I played against him in high school and he wasnt even a stand out then. He could just run in a straight line but not really play the game

It was a 720...180, 360, 540, 720. NOT 700. Dude was just correcting my mistake, because I accidently wrote 520 instead of 540. Either way, he made the MFer spin twice. Michael Jackson style. And Eric Berry is not nearly as good of a pro prospect as Mays. He's also less comparable to Sean Taylor, being that he's 5-11...and Taylor Mays is 6-3 230, just like Taylor. And Sean Taylor wouldn't have had many int's if he was playing CF in Carroll's system, either.

Yeah I agree with you. I like Taylor Mays...but this year is where we'll see his real skills because his top LB corps isn't there anymore. Sean Taylor was top 5 safety because he could deadly with the killshot hit but also COULD TACKLE. Mays is good with the killshot but has far as tackling he has to upgrade or the NFL will expose.
