How did you guys avoid breakage between the two textures? I currently have stretched relaxed hair, but I am having problems with breakage on the ends, no matter what I do. I think my hair just is not compatible with relaxers, so I’ve been thinking about switching to keratin treatments. However my hair stylists has warned me that there is a chance that I may have breakage between my 2 textures and could end up having to cut it short. Is that avoidable?

Please, please rinse it and deep condition it after 3 days. The product needs to be rinsed out or it can be super drying in your hair. Adding the leave in is not enough. The two of you are beautiful with amazing hair and I don't want anything to happen to damage it. I know that you don't want to go washing and flat ironing again after just three days but it is imperative to the health of your hair.

Actually funny story my hair was as long as yours is here when I started getting Brazilian blowouts. Cut to a year and a half later and without cutting it my hair was shoulder length somehow. I realized they were messing my curl pattern up and stopped getting them and my hair grew back. Keratin treatments blow the hair shaft open to get the protein in. This gives temporary results and long term damage. At this point I do know a lot about hair and after cutting to my ears in March it’s near the bottom of my ribs now and that’s with washing it every 2-3 days because I swim and dance.
@twolala1
4 жыл бұрын
Helter Skelter Hey girl Brazilian blowouts and keratin treatments aren’t the same thing so you can’t really compare your experience with one and our experience with something totally different. Brazilian blowouts (especially depending on the year you got them) are more damaging. This keratin treatment is more “green” and plant based.
@TheMoonDejesus
4 жыл бұрын
TwoLaLa they operate the same way and I got Brazil post formaldehyde. The protein molecules are too large to be received. They obviously try to market them more palatably but the chemistry is the chemistry. Good luck. Nothing that puts that much heat on your hair is healthy anyway. I was just pointing out the irony. It’s fine. You’re a youtuber not a scientist maybe the rest of your channel is about natural healthy hair practices.

Yes! If you find a hairdresser, run it by her/him and see how they would work with you and your hair needs :)

Hey ladies! You look beautiful! Will keratin keep your hair straight like a relaxer?
@twolala1
5 жыл бұрын
Sunflowers2925 Yes but this time we can wear our hair better in its curly state because it’s repairing the bonds that relaxers tend to break.

Hair looks very thin and very unhealthy. The length is all over the place with no real length.

It looks amazing on your hair, ladies! I'm relaxed and thinking about getting a keratin treatment. My question is: how long can you stretch it safely before doing another keratin treatment? can it be every 6 months? I want to switch to keratin from relaxers, but the price is so expensive where I live, I can't afford to do that every three months :(
