Yes!!!!! Thanks for checking this out. It’s one of my favs of all time. With further listens you really start to pick up on the relationship between the production and the themes. Like, this album feels like an adult maybe tripping and stepping back through different points of their life (like past AND future). If not tripping then tapping into some sort of insight through dreams. Honestly despite its playful sugary veneer it’s a very rich and nuanced exploration of, literally, time and place!

Some suggestions that I might’ve dropped before but these are some of my fav albums I need more people to hear. 3 - Tricot A masterclass in Japanese math rock and my favorite guitar riffs in all of music If You’re Feeling Sinister - Belle and Sebastian All of their first 3 albums are masterpieces but this or Tiger Milk are the best places to start. Some of my favorite lyricism right now and fun sounds with good sad songs. Midori Desu - Midori Don’t let the intro deceive you, one of the hardest punk records ever, with a great fusion of jazz in there. And the vocalist gives some of my favorite vocal performances of all time. Clap Your Hands Say Yeah - Clap Your Hands Say Yeah Just a fun feel good album with unique vocals and clustered yet beautiful sound scapes.

YESSSS OMG this is one of my favourite albums ever!!! I wish I saw this live. So glad you liked it! This album is pretty different from their usual sound. You may still enjoy their other work (Bonito Generation and Intro Bonito are what I'd recommend). It's less rock but still has an ecclectic sound and Sarah Bonito's sentimental lyricism

If you dig the kind of drone-pop-rock-alt thing, you might love Stereolab. My fave is their big one: French Disko, but it doesn't seem to be on an album, having been released as an EP, with 'Jenny Ondioline', which is also a belter. Might you consider a reaction to an EP?
