My Uncle was a diesel mechanic in the US Navy during WWll. When they did oil changes in Uncle Sams diesel engines in the boats and ships, they mixed diesel fuel in the engine oil in a ratio, ran the engine for a set number of minutes, drained and refilled with new oil and filters.I'll never forget him saying that. He did it to his Chevrolet pickups he owned after getting home in the years after the war.

Bardahl Flush n Engine Tune Up is a 300ml can that smells of kerosene. Instruction is to pour the 300ml into the crankcase and run it for 150miles. It thins out the oil and once 150miles is done, change the oil. I think its a similar concept but less extreme and hardcore to your method sir. And a lot faster.

And there's cars with several hundred thousand miles that have never seen a flush, let alone kerosene. The Kero isnt making them last longer, the engineer's fudge factor built into the design and metallurgy has allowed the engines to somewhat shrug off the kerosene.

Royal Purple by itself is the one carrying the highest detergents package. So if your going to use that oil every 3000 miles for the rest of the life of your engine no more flushes required. A guy did a on a BMW a switch to RP and cleaned the entire head. 👌

@@thefantasticpendejo6182 very good oil over priced a bit like Redline. Very high viscosity index and a high temperature. If your not living in a cold climate very good choice. Just do a specific engine flush product before each oil change. It's a process of step to clean varnish and sludge. Don't try to whack it hard with one or two aggressive flushes. Kerosene does not, does not have the lubricity for bearings, cam lobes, valve train or timing set.
