I’ve got several of the knives in the Launch series and this is one of my favorites. Great ergonomics. The blade sits low enough from the handle to effectively give clearance while cutting. I appreciate your review by showing several cutting and slicing examples. Thanks! I recommend this knife.

I like the knife as a whole. Made in the USA! I agree with you on the blade. It is wide. I would like a drop blade and a lock to keep me safe while its is in pocket. Thanks for sharing this knife!

No BS, this is maybe the second or third of the launch series that has really grabbed my attention. A deep carry clip would seal the deal, but it's definitely on my list now.

I've had excellent luck with swapping out the clips on both the launch 8 and 12 to deep pocket. Civivi makes a two pack of replacement clips in a few lengths that are 2 hole and lines up with kershaw. Hope it helps anyone else wanting to do the same. Oh, and they are only five bucks too!

You would think they would just make them all deep carry now haha

We are at the 14th design so I can't hate so much on the blade profile they have to think outside of the box for design, and I'm definitely more for the traditional designs, saying this I'm sure the action and build quality is to par kershaw for the most part has never disappointed me I am now at your Jean pocket fit and ill relax and watch the rest of the show thanks for the video bro

A good review of a niche blade shape. However, you did your viewers a small disservice by misidentifying the blade steel. You state it is made from 154CM, a mid-grade cast steel. In fact it is made from CTM154, a superior - and more costly - powdered metal steel which of course effects the price point. How much functionally better it is than the 154CM may not be noticeable to some owners, but accuracy in details counts in reviews.

It did struggle a bit. But overall not too bad of a blade. Just not my style.

I'm not a clever fan. If it were a drop point though? FYIif you wanted add a deep carry clip to this I'm willing to bet their deep carry clip would fit perfectly.

Oh 100% there are aftermarket deep carry clips but like you I prefer a drop point for this type of knife. Thank you for watching!

I like the steel and the aluminum frame but I'm not a cleaver fan! I would go for a Wharncliffe over a cleaver any day. I would have to disagree with you about cutting the straps the way you were with a Wharncliffe. The wharny, with the sharper angle of the back of the blade would be a good one to cut the straps. The wharncliffe with a modified dull tip makes a great blade to cut away clothes in emergency situations. So thus would be good at removing straps. I don't remember the model number but Kershaw makes a Wharncliffe auto that's not to bad.
