@Adz1984
9 жыл бұрын
Kayo Odoms Froch - A good win. A guy he was expected to beat in America. A slow so called unskilled boxer. Bute was ranked higher than Froch. He dodged Bute. Kessler - Another good win in his own back yard but some dodgy headbutts that turned the fight ugly. AA - (naturally a middleweight) Again in his own back yard. A guy who had already lost to Froch and Dirrell. He’s also been beaten by Stieglitz. Bika - Again in his own back yard. Bika is a B class boxer. Had already lost to Solimon, Calzhage, Bute, and was coming off a loss to Mendy lol. Ward beat him then since hes lost to Dirrell and Stevenson. Miranda - LOL (and in Oakland) Green - You must be joking.(another fight in Oakland) Rodriguez - Again in Oakland. So what if he was undefeated. He wasn’t very good. He’s a decent boxer. Nothing special. Who’s he beat then ? That wasn’t even a world title fight anyway. Dawson - Blatantly weight drained. How does Ward TKO Dawson but not any of his other 5 world title opponents like Green lol. Because he was drained and weak. So you managed to get together 7 names and you say…... “Wards literally beaten all the top guys..his resume is already stacked.” LMAO. Stacked with guy older than himself and guys people have already beat apart from Edwin but hes not good anyway. He had beaten no one. Are you serious, thats the question ?

bro..discrediting top ranked fighters is never a good look...ward avoided bute but beat the guy who knocked out bute??? and dawson chose to go down in weight nobody forced him..he was weight drained? no he was beaten by a better fighter how does ward tko dawson??? have you watched any of damsons fights? dude is really good but he doesn't take the best punch....your argument is just pathetic..you wasted all that time discrediting top fighters but offered no other fighters that ward has avoided....just lame..

Kessler has an excellent classical boxing style. Even his infighting is much better - in my opinion - than commentators have claimed. I think Kessler is so good because he has the basics down so well. Ward, however, is a phenomenon; one of those great fighters scattering each generation, who condense the best techniques that have been utilized up to that time, and create a new level of evolution for the sport (aided considerably by excellent coaching from a young age). Nevertheless, much like some others, who did this before him (e.g. Sugar Ray Robinson) or sort of did (Roy Jones Jr [TOO open & inefficient style for optimum punch output]), Ward gets a little too comfortable with leaving himself open on the attack. Eventually the other guy will snap himself forward with a (well timed) right-hand or uppercut lead. Maybe Ward allows himself to be a little open to entice the guy and stop him moving away/trap him, or its simply because the other guy can't hit him. Also, this surely uses more effort for less power. Isn't there a way to do this so that the body mechanics are also optimal? Maybe not (just realised this as I write): Being such a complete (and unpredictable) fighter, arguably, engenders using, and experimenting with, imperfect techniques.

Ward was too good here. After round 2 Kessler stopped throwing the right hand due to the Ward counter. Ward should have had a couple of points off for holding but if Kessler threw right hand he may have stopped that. Kessler got beat up.

Man Ward is absolutely fantastic in the ring but he's dirty in this fight. Head butting, forearms everywhere, hitting as soon as possible right after the break. I thought he was good enough to not have to do that kind of stuff. After watching this Im sure Golovkin has a better chance of beating Ward. I'm not that impressed with Ward's performance on Kessler. Kessler already turned down a fight with GGG cause he know's he would get slaughtered by him. Great fight between Ward and Kessler though.

+Ingemar Kenyatta I can't speak for all boxing fans. But I'm white and consider Ali vs. Frazier I the greatest fight I ever watched. Closely followed by Leonard vs Duran I. I've admired and respected boxers of all colours and nationalities. And if you'll stop thinking of me as a white man, I'll stop thinking about you as a black man, if that is what you are. Then we can consider each other as human beings. And kill the racism garbage. Andre Ward is a very skilled boxer. He's also extremely boring to watch. He's a spoiler, uses dirty tricks and... he calls him self Son of God, which makes me want to puke. The very idea that God, if there is a God, would give a damn who wins a boxing match, is preposterous. That's why I don't like him. Not because of his skin colour.

It's the subtleties of the fight game all boxers do little things away from the view of the ref or even in plain sight, it's how crafty you can be and at the same time get away with it with a warning or two, the masters of the craft can dish it out as well as DEAL with it, Ward has dealt with fighters that make him look like a saint and he is 28-0-0 ... it's being prepared for anything your opponent can bring to the ring.
