I made some gummy chews using just LMNT Citrus salt, water, & beef gelatin. Good enough for me and easy peasy.

@@laurahudson8210 I used two cups water, one LMNT packet and one T beef gelatin. Sprinkle gelatin over around 1/2 c water and let it soften. Heat the rest of the water, doesn't need to boil but must warm enough to melt the gelatin. Add the hot water to the softened gelatin and sprinkle in the LMNT. I put it into silicon cupcake liners, but could have put into a loaf pan and then cut into cubes. My purpose was to get my eletrolytes in other than in sparking water, just changing it up. It isn't colorful or sweet like the bears but I prefer it. Experiment with the amount of gelatin...these were pretty bouncy! I was thinking less and it would be more like jello.

This looks great! Thanks for this recipe. I can't wait to try it. While watching, a couple ideas occurred to me. First, you may want to use a dry strainer to sift the powdered acacia gum and gelatin into the liquid. It makes it much easier to get even thin coverage with fewer clumps. Second, only fill the flexible measuring cups half full for pouring into the molds. A full cup is much harder to pour precisely into the mold. Just refill the cup to the halfway point as many times as necessary. Thanks again!

In Middle East stores…the Acacia is called Gum Arabic. Very inexpensive. Patience, thy name is Gummy! Are you kidding? We have to wait 48 hours!!! Ok, you need a weekly assembly line to overlap each batch and NEVER, EVER run out! Excellent recipe, guys! Gladys🇨🇦Canada

I sure hope I can make these! After watching this video I realized my molds are too small. Returning them and ordered the cute little bear molds in the video. I bought. 2 molds for $35ish. I accidentally ordered 2 pkgs of Arabic gum, bought the same beef gelatin as on the video. Got the potassium sorbets. Liquid stevia and 2 more packages of redmond re-lyte powder! I don't dare add up all them dollars. 😆 I draw the line at food coloring! Anyone else go completely overboard with this recipe? I'm obsessed and haven't even made one batch!

I keep a fine spray mister bottle filled with vodka in my kitchen to use specifically for removing air bubbles from Jell-O. I’m not suggesting using this if the end product is for children, but I find it eliminates almost all of the bubbles. It may work on gummies. I will definitely try this recipe, thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the video and for creating this recipe! The only hard thing for me is buying all these bags of products that then just sit in my pantry and take years to get through assuming they don't go bad. Then I get crazy looks when people are like "what's this huge bag of powder for?" "Oh that's for making gummies" Of course I'm sure I can find other uses but you know what I mean. I wish I could buy a "gummy bear kit" that had all the ingredients but just enough to make these 2-3 times and that's it.

I tried your recipe, the only different ingredient I used was the Now brand of gelatin (as it was cheaper). I used 5 TBSP of the acacia gum. My mixture didn’t get as gelatinous as yours even after waiting 30 mins. I was thinking of adding more gelatin but didn’t. I mixed all the other ingredients as you had and poured it in the molds. After waiting 1 hour in the refrigerator it came out in pieces (like you mentioned in your video) so I let it sit overnight. The next morning it came out the same as waiting 1 hour. Do you think it was the Now gelatin? Do you think I should of added more gelatin? BUT, They tasted great.
