I started keto about a month and a half ago. I have lost 5 pants sizes. And eleven pounds. It's eating the fat right off my body. And I hit 99 on my blood sugar. I was so excited I was shouting my excitement! Gonna kill that diabetes. Got a way to go but I'm going to stick with it. Now I found you. Keep it simple and good. Love ya.

I started out at 417 pounds and lost 110 pounds in 11 months. Then I plateaued. I decided to do a reboot and change up what I was eating and started again with your keto for beginners week 1. I started keto 2 months ago. I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. I have not followed your plan but many of your recipes have been a blessing. My A1c was 8.4. And is now 6.9. The second number was a home test because I wanted to see the difference. I have also lost 26 pounds. As a diabetic I cannot due the net carb. I have to do total carbs. But all of your recipes can be portioned to fit my macros. I wanted to comment because your channel has taught me I can follow this way if eating without loosing flavor. And not get stuck in eating the same thing everyday. THANK YOU!!!

Well I attempted Keto before and always went through the pain before I got the real gain. Cravings for sweets, the Keto flu and just generally being bloody hungry. No alcohol is an absolute must. No good for Keto and crap food choices once you lower your inhibitions. So started the first week at a little over 100KG, by the end of the first week following your daily plan exactly, 95.40 KG. I then had a lapse, drank some whisky and paid for it by being 96.8 kg two days later, here I am on Tuesday at 95.7 kg but at least 2 inches off my waist line and chest. Its actually working!!!!!!!! My lesson is don't expect to settle right in, find some Keto friendly sweet snacks to help with the craving and don't be surprised if you fall off the log every now and then, just pick yourself up and get right back in to achieve your goals. Keto is genius, give your body water, oxygen and the right food and the fat just melts away. :-), but not without some effort in the form of determination to stay the course .

Hi sahil my wife insisted me to get on keto diet and sent me a link and said to follow you. I watched the first episode for beginners and the recipes were easy and quite quick to accomplish after spending a whole day at work. I weighted in at 91.2kg and within a week I’m down to 88.1kg and my fat percentage has reduced to 1.2%. I got the keto flue and I’m all okay now. In my coming week I’m going to hit the gym to do some light activity.I’m ready to take on challenge 2 which is the second week. Once again thank you and have a wonderful weekend.

I started keto while I was staying with my aunt and uncle in Maryland so it was easy because they cooked every night, I've been home for months and I'm always lost, I think after I get paid next Friday I'm going to the store to buy the things I'll need to start planning my week out with food, so thank you so much Sahil!

I grew up on keto (due to epilepsy), but I find this video and blog so helpful for saving money when going shopping. Before this guy I was going shopping every two days and spending too much money. Now I have been shopping just once a week and nothing goes to waste! The weekly mealplan is so helpful. Also, I am going soft keto, still eating rice, potatoes, fruit etc, but cutting out bread, sweets, alcohol, processed foods etc. I lift weights for exercise and so far it's been doing great. If I hit a wall at losing weight I will cut closer to full keto.

Such a great idea to do these videos for beginners! Your recipes always look so delicious! I went on the keto way of eating last year and over the course of 6 months, I lost 27 lbs. and a lot of inches. The weight came off quickly at first, then it slowed down, but kept coming off. My doctor was happy with my progress and told me I was right where she wants me and she took me off of blood pressure pills. I went off the diet a few months ago and haven’t gained anything back. I exercise more now and I still IF. The way I used to drink my coffee really put the weight on. So, I continue to drink my Keto coffee (Truvia to sweeten and unsweetened almond milk and a splash of HWC.) I would like to lose the last 5 lbs. so I am encouraged by your videos, love the simple plan of the same meals for a week, that makes meal planning a breeze.

I agree with you. I am a 59 yr old woman and I have been doing keto for 1 year and it has changed my life I hope forever. When I started keto I started it as a diet, now it is my lifestyle. I have lost 56 lb and still have some way to go. The reward for me on keto is bigger than the weight loss it is actually never craving for anything. I can now sit amongst people who are eating chocolate and sweets and I never want them. It was hard at first but now it is easy. I wish I had done this many years ago

I ❤ everything bagel seasoning! I fry a couple of eggs in a small pan (breaking the yolks) and add the seasoning. Plate it up, spread some onion and chive cream cheese on top, and it's like an everything bagel without the carbs. So good.

I just bought your book! I also just started to watch your series obviously this is my second episode. I have followed you on and off for many years now but not religiously. Although all my keto channels I watch they always mention your channel and or recipes. I believe it was keto Jenny I think that is her name on KZitem. The red head photographer from Florida. Now I have done keto many times lost 80 from 250 to 170. Fell off for a while and gained some back. I am starting your book today I am only page three cause I am watching your recipes. I am also doing the 20 hrs. fasting and the OMAD (one meal a day) down 18 lbs again. The problem I have its I sometimes get sick of meat so I take three bites and full. Plus I love the recipes but am only eating one meal a day by choice. I do about 19 or 20 carbs a day. I think your recipes are wonderful looking and I can't wait to try some of them and get out of this rut of same meal a day. I do love my salads at night though I still love my veggies and that is where most my carbs a day come from. Which brings me to my question Can you use Almond butter for that dressing you made in Episode 01 video where you made the salad for dinner with the chicken thighs? Will it kill the flavor? I usually use almond butter occasionally as a snack the single serve cause I heard peanut butter is higher carb. Also you are the first recipe I made years ago when I was super new at keto or LCHF diet I think it was the cabbage rolls with the peanut sauce it was my very first keto meal and I still remember it to. No matter how long you do keto it never hurts to learn something new. Like me I thought that all those tomatos like in Ep. 1 with the guac and the salad were to carby and a purple onion too with a whole avacado. You taught me something new in 20 minutes thanks for everything and after these keto for beginners vid's I am going to read your book thanks. God bless all and good luck!

If you're diabetic, you are in for a very rough ride unless you do your research on reversing insulin resistance with a keto diet. Basically, you MUST do intermittent fasting and exercise along with keto for your diabetes to reverse. I don't have diabetes but I had insulin resistance (aka hypoglycemia) without knowing it and went through a non-stop two-month keto flu before I suspected there was something wrong with me. The two KZitemrs who were the most helpful to me were Dr Eric Berg and Dr Nick Zyrowski. Berg has some videos for diabetes (which I haven't seen since I don't have it) but both of them have great videos on insulin resistance. Good luck.

@@aero8750 I forgot to mention Dr. Jason Fung. He's the godfather of intermittent fasting for curing diabetes. A lot of current info on intermittent fasting and insulin resistance is based on his research. He's a real medical doctor (kidney specialist) whereas both Berg and Zyrowski are doctors of chiropractic. As with everything you do in life, trust the experts...but always keep your BS radar wide open.

I did the pan fried chicken tonight and I kid you not, it was THE best flavored chicken I've ever had! This recipe is a keeper! I just hope and pray that all the fat in keto is healthy and they don't find out one day that it was a terrible idea!

IN the US if you want heavier whipping cream look in the Mexican/Central American dairy section if you have a market that sells those products, there are lots of options that are thicker types of cream rather than our thin generic heavy cream.

you can also make sourcream by mixing a little yogurt in regular cream and letting it ferment. It gets a lot thicker and it does not break on sauces. It's reallly easy to make.

And also unlikely. To lose 10lbs of body weight in a week is very dangerous. You might have lost a fair amount of retained water so be careful of dehydration and the amount of salt in your new diet. If you lost another 10lbs in your second week please see a doctor.

Just completed week one and I lost 5lbs. My goal is to lose 17lbs total. So 12lbs more to go. I know this was mostly just water weight but hopefully I'll do just as well this week. I gave myself until June to get to my target weight 🤞 if not then I will have to work a lot harder.

Hi Sahil. My occupation is teacher. As a teacher I will tell you that you are an AWESOME teacher! You are engaging - you keep one's interest with your personality and the way you present your information. You keep things simple with solid information. I love your recipes as they are so simple. A person doesn't need a million different ingredients to prep the meals. I will be ordering your book. Keep the videos coming! Big kudos to you! I have subscribed!

Thank you so much Sahil for doing this series. I am on day 7 of week one and can honestly say that the program is easy to follow. I was surprised that I didn’t get sick of the repetition of the meals but rather because I waited until I was hungry before eating I looked forward to them. Also I missed a few meals and snacks because I wasn’t even hungry. Thank you again. 🤟

Finished week one using your meal plan and I lost 3.5 lbs!!! Like you mentioned, I changed the amounts for my body size, so I eat a much smaller breakfast but I hardly ever feel hungry except when it’s time to eat. Keto flu was really y’all! Felt like crap day 2-4 but by day 7 felt very energized. On week 2 and the meals are so good! Changed up the chicken for shrimp and changing up the veggies for other dark greens that I have on hand. I also followed your advice about purchasing a kitchen scale and oh man! It is definitely worth it; makes following recipes and tracking my macros so much easier! P.s. my husband is not doing keto but loves the curry sauce and will eat any vegetables with it which is saying something! 💚💙💜

Okay, I tried your cheeseburger at 8:20. It was a winner with my husband even though he doesn't like red meat much. I did it 3-4 times now since I watched the video. The only downside is that I have a lot of smoke in my kitchen when I prepare this. Like a lot. Not sure what I'm doing wrong but I might start cooking them in the oven. We like the Everything seasoning on the broccoli; I had never tried it other than over my keto bagels. I do keep the burgers in the oven when I prepare the broccoli so they don't get cold. I let the cheese melt in there too. I add 2 slices of bacon on mine and it looks really nice. Thanks for the idea! Nicole

The recipes have been good abd easy for this week, on day 6 currently, thank you for this, already feeling better this year! But I've not taken any measurements or weight, just going for it.

I have tried being very strict with this diet. Bought a scale to weigh the food. Love the foods. This 1st week was good, lost 4 lbs., but after that I started getting edema, and gaining, instead of loosing.

Hi Isla, at this point you would need to start to calculate your macro and calorie requirement. Then log and weigh and portion your food according to that. I've taught all this in my Keto 101 series, do watch that.

Wish i could post the pic of the chic and curry sauce. I used the thighs i had left over from last week. I put the chicken in the sauce when it was done, to keep it warm. Sauce is lovely and not a lot of prep. 2nd week 4.5 lbs. Down.

We did episode one....I lost about 5 pounds. Not sure how my husband did, as his leg is in a cast and getting on a scale wouldn't help. We started this because he got laid up after falling on ice. I have tried this several time, but I haven't been able to find a easy way to start. Thank you for this...you have made it easy....and make me laugh as well when listening to your videos!
