Creator of ERGO buttons for your slide, David Kettlewell, explains what an ERGO button does, and why it's better.
ERGO buttons (shorthand for ergonomic) offer the player a more comfortable and effective feel in play.
Diameter of the button is larger...and there are no hard edges at button's end to bite the hand, and ERGO buttons can be made with longer extension out to move the point of slide activation away from your face. Buttons are custom built one by one per a player's preferences on a lathe.
(David also invented the Kettlewell Frictionless Mouthpiece SLIDER which makes movement to new note hole positions easy and friction free, with no need for saliva to lubricate thus keeping the harp clean, and offer the player a relaxed embouchure. For more information on the SLIDER, see KZitem video "Kettlewell Frictionless Mouthpiece SLIDER explained".)
