Great point about everyone staying post fight. Those people went from just wanting to be entertained, to actually caring and wanting to let him know they cared, wanted to let him know they appreciated him and his efforts. It was truly beautiful.

I have nothing against Ton Aspinal, a true heavyweight talent but I feel like the whole world wants to see Alex become the first triple champion.
@HoboGardenerBen
2 күн бұрын
Yup, Alex's run is truly epic. Old man power!!! Like another commenter said here, if he keeps it going through Ankalaev and goes up and beats Aspinall he is definitely the best ever imo. Thanks for the good commentary. Really glad mma joey has helped spread your work, you're a mature voice in sport culture that leans heavily towards childish behavior and strong emotions over good sense. Despite all that, I think this is such a powerful sport because the fighters have to dig so deep to succeed and often come from a hard road :)

Agree, except Roundtree wasn't landing "very hard clean shots", it would have been a different fight if that were the case..He was always just short, or landing grazing shots, that Pereira was going with.Alex let him punch himself out, until Roundtree was far less dangerous, and then systematically picked him apart and broke him down..

I'm not the best lip-reader, but it looked to me like everyone that shook Roundtree's hand after the fight was saying "bro, much respect." He deserved it. What else stood out to me was how smart he is in the octagon. He executed his coach's game-plan to perfection. Pereira was just too good. Pereira is the Artur Beterbiev of the UFC. His punches go right through his opponent's guard. It's wild.

I'm really glad Khalil put on a good show. He's such a good dude and his story is as powerful as Alex's and I really hoped he was going to put on a strong performance so that his impact on the world would increase. Many people in the modern era are living the life Khalil was before making a change. Society tries so hard to tell us that it's ok to sit on your ass and disrespect your body with food and other addictions and it just isn't. Khalil shook off that expression of his trauma and used it as fuel for something great. Same as Alex, just a different vice. Both guys are super inspiring, I feel moved :)

Can you ask Dana next time why they don’t promote fighters or fights anymore? Go watch Lucas Tracy latest video where he talks in depth about the laziness and no promotion of it and all of us are sick of the lack of fight promotion or fighter face off sit downs like dazn for example does. Now they spend no $ to promote except rerun of old fights. What happened to promoting the ufc like they did 10 years ago they would do a world tour for Conor vs aldo for example now they won’t even do a 10 min face off besides a 10 second face off and weight in super annoying. Corporate greed is ruining the ufc and our entire country.

Will be tuning on for your upcoming content from here on out

I’m not gonna lie Kevin, Goddard needed to stop that fight about a minute earlier, or the towel needed to be thrown. I really believe Khalil lost about 5 years with those shots. Even pereira was waiting for Goddard to step in, he didn’t want to ground and pound him after he dropped cause he knew it was over minutes ago. Khalil sacrificed his life for MMA, HE IS A LEGEND.
@celebratecrypto3693

I wanted Khalil to win. After seeing how fast and hard he hit many of his opponents I thought he was going to get the jobs done but something about that height and reach difference is a major problem. They should almost make fighters fight based off reach and height more so then weight. Mike Tyson said being shorter was an advantage for him because he could punch up the big guy had to punch down but I don’t know if that carry’s over to mma it would seem it does not

Interestingly you had Roundtree winning rounds. Outside of the headkick and quick knockdown in the 3rd?
