When I worked in corporate America .. I was an expert in my field. I positioned myself to be respected and believe me .. if I needed to get my point across.. I learned to speak firmly but respectfully, and to this day.. I speak this way in every interaction I have with anyone. Also, I’ve been married for almost 23 years. It’s about respect and only speaking on things you are knowledgeable about. Some women are lead by pure emotion and speak when they cannot support their opinion. However, what I've noticed is that some men will talk more harshly and disrespectfully to a woman THAN a man because they on some level know that their tone is disrespectful and a man will check them, whereas they're not intimidated by women, so they don't cate. When that's the case, those need to be with men, not women because they don't respect women.

Most black women wouldn't marry their bosses though because they can't connect with them emotionally. What you're talking about is fear not respect. If a woman can't be herself in a relationship, the relationship is meaningless to her. However to address your point, birds of a feather flock together. Different types of black women get along and normally those that like drama arent going to be in the friend circle of those who don't to be checked as they are two different types of black women. Level headed women like being around other logical, low key women.

This works both ways. Black people in general (men and women) are conditioned to give their boss (regardless of gender, but especially white Massa/Missus) more respect and reverence because they don't want to lose their jobs/paycheck, than they will their own partner/spouse who supports them, takes care of them and loves them.
