Kew Gardens runs out a ready winner of the 2018 William Hill St Leger at Doncaster racecourse under jockey Ryan Moore for trainer Aidan O'Brien and owner Derrick Smith and the Coolmore partners.
Another Classic victory for Ballydoyle and super sire Galileo, Kew Gardens accounts for previously unbeaten filly Lah Ti Dar in second under Frankie Dettori with stablemate Southern France further back in third.
A horse with good form - Kew Gardens was down the field in the Epsom Derby before landing the Group 1 Grand Prix de Paris at ParisLongchamp in July - the colt was also given a good preparation for the final Classic of the season, featuring in the Great Voltigeur at York last time before this Classic tilt on Town Moor.
"We couldn’t be happier with him. He’s a horse that’s progressed lovely, " said Aidan O'Brien. “We always thought he was a horse that would stay well and he has a lot of class. We’re over the moon really.”
