More like very particular about socialization. Unless I'm forced into it for work or other obligation, I feel no need to socialize with those I feel no kinship with. And another thing I think he has kind of wrong is, the main reason we "agree to disagree" is not so much that we can see all sides, which we can, but that we understand the futility of arguing over things that will not change anyone's mind anyway.

And being soooo independent that both marriages didn’t last long. Thankfully I have several deep enduring friendships lasting over 35 yrs, which have given me fulfillment and support which I gladly return. These friends are my sanity. Yep! Super intelligent, if I read something it sticks to my brain like glue, so I'm also a wealth of fun facts and get accused of "being a know it all" often... but, in my defense, I'm very very VERY rarely wrong on what I say or know, whether it's a person's true personality/intentions within the first time of meeting them, actual learned knowledge, or sometimes I just know things without knowing how I know them, but regardless, I always feel misunderstood about it and even though people have seen how accurate my knowledge and perceptions are, they still rarely listen to what I tell them and there's always a big "told ya so" moment, sometimes even taking years for my prediction of someone I just met coming to fruition. See? I feel like none of that even sounds right or makes sense. 😂 by that I mean sometimes I'll be introduced to a friend of a friend or something and within about 5 minutes of talking to the person I can tell you exactly what type of person they are, whether they're trustworthy, whether they're a liar, a snitch, a cheat, pedophile etc or a good person and in the past I've warned people about people and they didn't heed my advice, but everything was cool for a couple of years and then bam all of a sudden they're getting arrested because the person I met one time, that I told them to stay away from because they strike me as a snitch has set them up by doing police recorded control buys of WEED from them, who is supposed to be one of their REALLY "good friends". The only person who is FINALLY beginning to listen to me about people is my husband and well, my sister has ALWAYS trusted my mind and instincts. But I do still feel like a lot of times when I'm trying to tell someone something that feels really important and interesting to me, they don't get as "excited", or I feel like I start sounding like a crazy person and just let the conversation trail off. Lol like I said, I don't even feel I conveyed my thoughts properly in this comment. 😂😂

My fam was talking about different eras they wouldve thrived in and I said I dont think there is one for me, I think I come from somewhere else, out there, in another life. My mom agreed and said she felt that about me too. I've actually seen a ufo on a couple occasions, one was with a boyfriend out in a field in the country. It was hovering for a minute or so and then disappeared like it popped out of existence, and we had missing time. The other was with my mom and grandma, it was hovering over the hotel next to ours on our beach vacation, and i pointed and said do you guys see that and they both came over on the balcony and started staring at it. And it was like the aliens knew we saw because that's when it shot back over our heads so fast and we ran out the door and out the causeway to see it blink out.

Chameleon-like qualities is a good way to describe interaction with others. I've done that my entire life. If you got 5 people that know me from different segments of society each would give a description of me that wouldn't match the other 4. I can meet a person, look into their eyes, observe them while they speak, and in 5 minutes intuitively know their deepest hopes, dreams & desires and then outwardly change to mirror those things back to them. It does make one likeable in social settings, but it is also a defense mechanism to protect the psyche and allow it to remain intact, constant and undisturbed.

This is how people get into arguments with INFJ women and sigma women b/c they think they're so introverted, and nice they're going along with them in their ideas and they're not b/c they have a different perception. Perception doesn't mean they don't somewhat agree with the person, but they don't completely, agree b/c they see it slightly different or spiritually different. This is why sigma people at times are not liked b/c people they think they know where person is coming from and they don't.

Very accurate for me. Well done! And if you aren't an INFJ, you have absolutely no idea how exhausting it is to get through each day. It takes so much deliberation to make the simplest of decisions! I have to order the same thing on the menu because I honestly can't go through the gruelling process of making a choice. There are just too many factors to consider.

I wish I met an INFJ woman. Being an INFJ man at the age of 38 I've almost given up on finding someone who understands me. At this point I think that only a fellow INFJ woman would be able to do that. I believe that's the problem we are constantly going through in our lives. Maybe it's time to create a dating app only for INFJ personality type since we are the rarest one. That could help us to connect to other INFJs around the world and, who knows, maybe even find your soul mates.

To iggipob It isn’t necessary to marry an INFJ woman. There are other personality types that CAN understand enough to be a great partner! Look for a person who is an introverted intuitive. The rest can fall into place! Even a GENTLY extroverted intuitive may be possible to get along with as long as they understand your need to not have to mix with crowds often. Im actually an INFJ woman married 50 years to an ISFJ man and theres been enough in just introversion and feeling to make it work all this time! We continue to learn to understand each other and give space for each others needs ( one can’t be selfish ALL the time!).

I would use sth like that for looking for just platonic friends for sure, but after the healing process I am going through right now.....that would be amazing...to find other deep thinkers...I have always said: I am as deep as the ocean and beyond...infinitely deep and can reach the greatest highs all on my own, just with the sincerest gratitude for the most "normal" aspects of life, like the sky, nature, my room, my appartment, my gym membership, colours (deep ecstasy for the many shades of one and the same colour), for feeling safe and snuggly retreating back to my own sanctuary after having been outside., albeit I do have to say that only the spiritual truths I have realized have made this possible )....I am thrilled to have found people who are like me....I am like a little wild joyous child on the inside and at the same time have very mature perspectives on things, e.g. how everything is connected to each other...how we all are influenced by each other. We all truly are ONE on the deepest subatomic level, just all in many different stages of development and levels of awareness.

I am an INFJ woman and yes, these patterns and signs did resonate with me. The one about deciding where to eat made me laugh. That is me to a tee. That’s how I handle most decision-making! Even to the point of choosing off the menu or going shopping. Everything becomes an epic decision-making procedure. I am introverted in nature, but I can be a social butterfly occasionally- usually only among a small group of people…I actually appreciated the Covid Quarantine because being by myself is very comfortable to me. If someone stops to chat, I mostly enjoy myself, but have no problem going back to solitude quickly. I often go off in my head into a mental journey and I guess my resting face can look aloof. I’m not, but I’m also not “there” as it were, but somewhere else in my mind, or observing others in the room with me. I’m able to figure out where the undercurrents in the room are coming from, and can discover the the essence of a person, sometimes just by shaking their hand or being in their presence for a minute or two, which is somewhat unsettling for both of us!

Me 100%.. when I tell someone I am introvert they were shocked because I am so outgoing at social gatherings. Though I rather be home when I do go into these social settings I am definitely talkative and not a wall flower (it’s just getting me to the gathering lol). I once had a co worker who told me all about the passing of her mother and dreams of her.. etc. Lots of details and said.. I have never told anyone all this it’s so weird.. I think so deeply and one thing leads to another so quickly in my mind I can sometimes say something that seems if topic but I got there mentally by a quick chain of connections in my brain that lead to to something worth saying out loud. I would dream of being an extrovert when I was younger. When I would see the life of the party so to speak.. I would think I wish I was like that.. but I always thought I am really strange lol. I am an extroverted introvert. Glad to know I am not alone.

People misunderstand what introvert and extrovert mean. Carl Jung coined the terms to describe how we recharge our energy, not whether we are outgoing or shy. Many introverts are very outgoing and enjoy socilaizing, we just find it deeply draining. And many extroverts love being around people and find it energizing but are shy or awkward. I think the key is to know what you need, embrace and honor it. 😊

I’ve wondered almost my entire life what was wrong with me. I am definitely an INFJ woman. My husband told me once that if nothing else, I am loyal. If I live you, I will love you through it all and will stand by your side. But to people around me, like my neighbors in my apartment building, I am a recluse. I love living alone, I’m a widow and happy to just be by myself because I had only one true love, and I won’t share myself to just anybody. It’s actually hard being an INFJ.

I really enjoy these INFJ videos. This is where I come to be understood. It's so easy for us to be misread by others and is the main reason for the last trait in this video. Being mysterious and reserved is so much easier than consistently being misunderstood. It's easier to focus on others because it is my nature to empathize and understand those around me, it's just normally not reciprocated, so when I meet someone that understands me I hold on for dear life. Meaning I talk to them at least 3 times a year lol.

I resonate with almost all of what you described. The area that does not is in confiding in someone. I have many acquaintances but only 2 people I would say are friends. With each of the two friends it took about 3 years of acquaintance status before I felt they were really friends. Even after 3yrs I haven't open completely to them & probably never will. I'm happily retired now & living in the country but when I was working I would come home completely drained. Most all of the jobs I had were working with people & because I was so attuned to the needs of others that my emotions would be shot. I could go on about all the others signs but I do agree with them. Thank you!

I adore my independance, many people say they hate that i don't need them, i said but it should be better that i want you. I love my alone time, however, i have been working on socialising this past month. I love helping other solve problems. Metaphorical comparrisons and philosophical terms are my go to verbal expression. Alwsys observing and analysing everything, body language, gestures, words utilized, intonation/tone. An INFJ will not back down on beliefs because they will have spent years researchibg befire forming a belief, but im very open to hear others beliefs. Just deciding whst to watch on Netflix is perplexing, by the time i finally make a decision, its time for bed 😂 I can get along with most people but thst doesnt mean i will allow myself to be around all tyoes of people. Once someone is identified as fake, im polite in their presence but i avoid them. I feel no one will 100% know me, because we are so complex, its hard for us to understand us so we dont expect that of others, giving too much away would only cause them more confusion 😂 this is very accurate thank you.

I have acquaintances, but no friends. if someone gets me to open up, they will see a very deep, contemplative sometimes brooding side to me. It shocks them and they’ll say, “wow, you’re like really deep, I never would have thought that about you.”🙄 I’ve got an emotional range as wide as Mariah Carey’s vocals😂 I can’t talk to people about the things I contemplate bc they will usually become depressed and overwhelmed, it’s just too deep for most. I can relate with anyone almost immediately and I think it is to make the other person feel better as we are so empathetic. I have recently found an INFJ friend, my first ever, and he is the only person that I truly open up to although I still keep parts of me hidden, as yet. This may change with time. The first date I went on with my husband (of 33 years now), I said to him: "I just want to get a few things straight. What you see is what you get. If you expect desert after dinner, you can go on and get." He just looked at me and said, "All I want to do is go on a date. The movies and then dinner......" I tend to follow Buddhism -my mother's religion - and have stated that never in a million years will I reach enlightenment, but have been told that I have reached enlightenment just by saying this. It will SEEM to that person it came 'out of the blue' but in truth, I asked them many times to not cross this line or it will harm my relationship with them. If it's someone I deeply love though and is for example ; a family member. I will keep my contact short and farther between visits.

Came across not one but two Female INFJs. Unfortunately, the one I showed interest in has severe trauma and abuse from past relationships even though we clicked in a healthy way. The other one is in a relationship with a male INFJ. They are both lovely and glad I got to meet them.

@@koylejeune4332 That's terrific. I have never met anyone in person who professes to be an INFJ. Anyone I even mention it to that I am an empath/INFJ have no idea what that is or even means.

Lol the lost in deep thought resonates. I got called into the office the other day at work and accused of not being aware of my surroundings…..How do u explain. No, i was totally aware, but, likely lost in thought. That’s the bad part about spending way too much time alone being with other people helps to regulate your brain spending too much time alone get your brain, the freedom to just run constantly, which can be fine, but it becomes very unruly and difficult to tame once you do want it to be back under control because it’s so used to having the freedom of just wondering wherever it wants to. Redirecting it in three minutes later to some boring small talk topic that nobody even cares about is hard; that’s a chore

I've noticed several of my extrovert colleagues have had troubles with my INFJ silence or non controverisal approach to things. They've been provoked by what they see as "too laid back", feeling I just don't care.. while somehow jealous of my easy going ways. I guess we are a can of worms for a lot of people..!

OMG, how my previous colleagues would ask me "what are you doing for the weekend?" And I would tell them relax, go to the gym, go to my fight classes, go dance classes because I prefer that over the club and have my own dance party lol. INFJ is a sigma female

Just like an Aquarius, we hold our beliefs, we'll even make room to hear out yours, but if you start trying to force your shit on us....there will be some fuckin push back and problems will escalate because someone wants to impose on the will of others reality and experiences and coming off as the delusional ones

I take exception to 'we try to be what others want us to be'. When I'm among a lot of people, I truly enjoy the differences of them; I'm open to accept them for who they are. I just get them; it's not about me.

The characteristics are right. This video is so verifying. When one feels Interiorly like the odd person out, while truly caring & seeing the value, even giftedness of others, seen as being able to fit in as others perceive us to be social, there’s an internal awareness of wondering, who here, is able to know or value where I am truly. That this interior knowing that others are unable to know us or where we’re at, is due to one’s Personality Type & Awareness, not some defect or self-judging & interior wondering, “What’s wrong with me?,” the INFJ is free to accept ourselves, self-judgment & or condemnation free & more fully become who we are without our self-judging or feeling that we are in need of repair, though we might be, all told, because we are sincere & long for others to know us. That feelings & processing goes so deep, we are aware that we view others as not being able to truly accurately know, even understand us.
