And some have been falsely imprisoned just solely based on the fact they were rappers and wrote violent lyrics. Just because you make certain art doesn't mean it's truthful for most artists. Many comedians , rappers and movie stars create an onstage alter ego that is very different from their real selves

Key & Peele did something similar with "The World's Worst Liar," but it was way funnier. It's a parody of "The Usual Suspects," but reimagined so that Kevin Spacey's character completely sucks at making up stories. Would definitely recommend!

I might have misremembered this, but I believe there are stipulations in place (at least in the US) where rap or song lyrics can't be used as a confession of guilt or criminal acts in a court of law.

consider that this genre of rap sells a lot so a lot of rappers make up violent things to say : and a number of them went to prison for things that didn't even happen ... pretty shocking huh

(now he was imprisoned for other things before , but on this occasion specifically for mildly insulting the crown and recounting some scandals... pretty shocking huh
