Kolambi Bhaat/prawns rice is one of the popular non veg rice recipe.very easy to make declicious recipe.
Ingredients-
Prawns- 250 gms
Basmati Rice 250 gms
1 big size onion sliced cut,12 garlic cloves 1 inch ginger, 1 cup mint leaves, 2 cups coriender leaves,
1 tomato,1 lemon, 4 green chillis
3 bay leaves,6 pepper corn, 1 inch cinamon stick,1 black cardamon, 2 green cardamon, 1 star anise
2 cloves.
½ tsp turmeric powder, 2 tsp red chilli powddr, 1 tsp cumin,coriender and garam masala powder each

Method-
Soak rice in water for an hour, marinate prawns with salt,½ tsp turmeric powder,1 tsp red chilli powder, ½ tsp cumin,garam masala,and coriender powder each ,and 1 lemon juice. Rest for ½ an hour.
Grind, green chillis ,ginger and garlic into fine paste.
Heat 4 tbsp oil in pan, put whole spice, saute. Add onion and fry till it turns brown..add chopped tomato and cook till it becomes soft and oil separates. Add green paste. Saute for a min.add marinated prawns.add chopped coriender and mint leaves. Mix. Add ½ tsp garam masala,cumin and coriender powder and 1 tsp red chilli powder. Mix add salt. Cover with lid and cook for 5 mins on low flame. Add soak rice and pour 500 ml hot water. Cook for 10 mins on midium flame. Cover with lid while cooking. After 10 mins check if needed keep for 5 mins more. Once done serve with onion slice and lemon.
