Kia has released the first teasers for the facelifted K8 sedan, set to debut soon in the Korean market. The updated model features a completely redesigned front end, aligning with the company’s latest styling language. In North America, Kia is known for its budget-friendly vehicles and practical family SUVs. However, in South Korea, the automaker offers an extensive lineup of cars, including the executive K8 sedan that competes with base Mercedes E Class and BMW 5 Series.
The current K8 is an good-looking car with a prominent grille, slim headlights, and sleek lines. But Kia is moving away from this look, opting for an EV9-inspired front end. This design language, called 'Opposites United,' has been applied to several internal combustion Kias recently, including the Sorento, Carnival, and the upcoming Kia K4 hatchback, we’ll cover more details about last one as well.
This new front design will give the K8 the presence it needs to compete in the South Korean luxury car market. The EV9-like face gives the sedan a bold and squared-off look, appealing to luxury sedan buyers.
At the rear, the K8 retains the familiar taillight shape introduced in 2021. The design looks sleeker now, with more refined and cleaner lighting elements. While other changes are hard to spot, experts expect Kia to offer new wheel designs, updated trim, and a significantly revised interior.
