noice, whats the story with that cute lil' bass drum? I've been wanting to try something small small for a while now-
@narocoon
2 жыл бұрын
It's actually a 20" yamaha stage custom bass drum! I think the angle of the gopro made you think it was small haha. When I play jazz I play on a 18" though, and you can even go for a 16", basically a big floor tom setup as a bass drum, it does the job well for jazz/funky things!

Hey! So as I said earlier in the comments, the main idea is this : "it's an 8 bars improvisation. I'm mostly using linear drumming, and I alternate between sextuplets and straight 16ths. I try to be coherent and re-use ideas. For exemple 0:12 is close to 0:03, and 0:16 is the same as 00:00."
@narocoon
2 жыл бұрын
The 1st phrase for exemple is the following : h l l r l k - L r r l l k - k l r k r r - L r r l l k (sextuplets) After that, I switch to straight eight-notes using buzz. This is the basic idea of my improvisation, the next ideas are kind of variations of these.
