In this episode of The Debrief, former 22 SAS Trooper Big Phil Campion speaks to paratrooper, entrepreneur, and former World Kickboxing Champion, Lee Matthews.
Lee joined the army at 18 after initially being turned away for being too skinny but went on to take part in operations with 3 PARA in Northern Ireland and Kosovo. When serving his last few months in the Parachute Regiment, Lee was a PTI and decided to set up his own business. His British Military Martial Arts business is now the UK's largest chain of martial arts centres, and is the only organisation in the UK to have a majority of ex-military instructors teaching martial arts at their schools. Lee has since rejoined 4 PARA as a reservist aged 45.
