My new strategy has been 2MAD: a large breakfast to the point of not being able to eat anymore (bacon plus four eggs cooked in tallow) and a meaty lunch with additional fat. If I need a snack, I am eating it mid-morning in the form of biltong or crackling. I ensure I have a coffee with additional fat during my meals and if I am hungry after lunch, will have additional coffee and ghee. It seems to be working well and my lymphedema in my feet seems to be draining nicely with the 16hr fast after lunch.

I went from SAD to carnivore. Best thing I've ever done for my health in my over 50 years on this planet. More health improvement than any diet, lifestyle, or exercise regime I've done my entire life. Nearly two years carnivore and can't ever see going back to any other way of eating.

I’m just delving into carnivore And already identify with the body’s desire for salt. I fight fire in the summer, and I know I need more salt when the water is no longer satisfying. I replenish my salt by sucking in a small rock (I keep a baggies of salt rocks in my line gear) until it starts to taste super salty, then I just spit in out. I tell coworkers that the salt tastes seriously sweet when your body wants it. And when you’ve replenished your salt, the water is soooo refreshing. They sometimes look at me like I’m crazy. I’m glad y’all and I are the same brand of crazy!

I am working on getting started on carnivore. My mama and my sons who live with me were going to start with me. But suddenly every time my mama came into the house she brought junk food. Little Debbies cookies and everything between. And I had to ask my sister to stop sending candy and cookies to my house. She can’t understand why I want to do this. But a few months ago I completely cut out sugar and felt great. And immediately started losing weight. Then I started eating sugar occasionally and felt awful. I am so glad that I found your channel and all of the other great carnivore channels. I am so excited and looking forward to feeling great for the first time in decades. As a single mama with special needs twins I am finally regaining myself and my health. And I finally see a bright future for myself. And I’m hoping that family members will see my results and want to make the change from the SAD that is literally killing people. Thank you so much for helping others learn about this.

After eating beef would have horrible diarrhea with other autoimmune symptoms: nausea, crawling skin, hot flashes. Then i found this article: www.digestivewarrior.com/digestive-warrior-blog/post/histamines-is-bone-broth-making-you-sick. You can read it and see if it resonates. The only advice i followed from it was: 10 mg of claritin nightly. And 1.5 week later i can eat beef again! I honestly tried it just for kicks, coz seemed silly how one pill of old ass allergy medication can make a difference.(i have been taking benadryl for seasonal allergies for years). Hope you feel better))

Hi Colleen, I was diagnosed with lymphedema - not sure if it was an accurate diagnosis. I found carnivore helped with weight loss and an overall feeling of health. However, getting my feet to stop swelling has been an ongoing issue. About a week of doing 16hr daily fasts (not eating snacks and dinner after lunch) seems to be doing the trick. My theory is that my body needs non-digesting time to focus on draining my feet and healing cells that have been damaged for over ten years. I am also doing daily walks of over 5kms - I am not worried about speed, but rather about getting the distance in. I am hoping the movement of blood will help with clearing the liquid. Hope this helps")

Please can we have that recipe for bone broth soup (that Dr. Ken talks about)
@erinnstreeter
3 жыл бұрын
It's really easy. Pure bone broth is just bones, water, and some people add a dash of vinegar to draw minerals from the bones. Put bones in pot, cover with water, add the vinegar if you're using it, and boil for several hours. Take out the bones and let it cool, then eat or refrigerate till you're ready to use it. An electric pressure cooker makes this even easier; bones, cover with water (plus vinegar, if using), set the pot to manual high and a minimum of 3 hours ( usually do 6). You can use any bones, but the best kind are ones with some remnant of meat and/or connective tissue still attached. Put a zip top bag in your freezer and chuck any bones from your meals into it - rib bones, chicken bones, ham bones, bones from t-bone steaks, etc. (Just keep in mind, if you save the bones from things like BBQ and smoked meats, your broth will have that flavor. Could be tasty, if you like that sort of thing. But if the bones are saturated with sweetened sauces, you might want to rinse them before you save them.) You can also buy bones from the butcher counter at your local meat shop or grocery store. I've used fresh beef neck bones, marrow bones, chicken feet, pork trotters... And they're usually not very expensive - most people in 'western' cultures don't use these 'off cuts' because they don't know the value of the collagen and gelatin and minerals they hold.

Really love this video….I keep trying to get to the complete Carnivore stage, but still finding it hard to lose the sugar free sweetener in my coffee…It is literally the only time I even want that little hint of sweet…Trying to get my mind behind getting rid of all the sweet…

I was finally able to get off artificial sweet in coffee by taking a dare and trying 1 or 2 Tbsp of butter. Texture of cocoa...very good substitute and the butter satisfies completely. I also add a bit of cinnamon and a couple of shakes of salt.

I'm on my second week modified carnivore, meaning mostly meat but some leafy green or cruciferous vegetables. Definitely looking at labels. Ate back to normal carb life Sat and Sun. Felt like crap. So much better eating like this. I'm 60. Was 380+ already in 10 days 350's. I work 60+ hours a week at a pretty demanding job. I had so much inflammation and fatigue! I was so miserable! But now feeling so much better. Lifestyle change? Yes I believe so. Wish I could grow my own livestock. Oh well maybe someday. It was the 13 years as a carnivore video that got my attention. I'd be totally carnivore if my wife would let me. But she's seeing changes that make a difference and that's winning her over.

Kelly this was such a goid refresher for me. I've gotten into some keto snacks and my sugar addiction kicked in. Great interview with Dr Berry. You can tell by looking at him that his weight has dropped and healthy look has increased over the last 19 months, by looking at his earlier videos.

I'm 6 days into transitioning to carnivore on a healing journey. I was diagnosed with MS 30+ years ago, with increasing disability. But what really motivated me is my gut issues. Not being able to get to the bathroom fast enough. Traditional medicine has not helped either issue, so here I am, and I'm committed to getting to a full carnivore lifestyle. Simple is the plan for me.

I too was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I have improved really well with ketogenic lifestyle. Definitely more energy, exercising cardio and weight lifting, low carb works. But Now I’m going to do Carnivore lifestyle to make even more progress. I’m so thankful for keto/carnivore community. Good luck with your journey.

I’m on day #3 of Carnivore Month transitioning from Keto. Today, I was starving from nit eating enough and ate some kipper fish tin and ate it so fast, I had 1/4 of the tin left to eat, but couldn’t because I had that nauseous-feeling Dr. Berry is describing of being full. I feel good, was craving some keto bread 🥖 this evening, but just kept busy. Thank you for this video👍👍

I find that keto bread, keto snacks and keto desserts just feed into my carb addiction. I’m better off with 1/4 c berries with whipped cream or cheese and nuts they don’t trigger the sweet tooth.

I am a total food addict. I had gastric bypass but it is only 1 tool (which saved my life). I love the idea of putting dish soap on food in the trash. That's another tool. I too have dug unnecessary food back out of garbage. I think about getting food even when I am full. I love the BBBEPF (beef, butter, bacon, eggs, pork and fish). It's easy. Grateful for you all bringing back healthy ancestral eating that helped humans survive well for millions of years.

Questions: 1. Black coffee? 2. I want to try carnivore, I have been doing healthy Keto for a while, any suggestions for that transition? 3. Should I take any supplements? MCT? B-Vitamins? 4. After you're on the carnivore diet, do you fast as well?

The best way I have found to eliminate "Cravings" is to get a NAC supplement and take between 600-1800mg a day. Many studies show that NAC greatly helps remove cravings of heavy drugs like opioid addiction. I quit carbs and my daily consumption of wine by taking NAC daily and have not had any cravings for either. KZitem has many educational videos explaining why everyone should be taking NAC. Thanks for this great discussion!

Kelly, I have learned alot watching your videos. Did Atkins back in the 80's and did well even though I cheated like crazy lol. Still lost 55 in 7 months. But since then nothing has worked. Not even Atkins. I normally eat LC at least 85-90% of the time. I LOVE my veggies! For me a perfect meal is some baked or grilled chicken, asparagus and a salad. So trying now to transition to a more carni diet. How on earth did you eat 2 pounds of gr beef a day? I manage 1/2 pound and sometimes can't even finish that. I've been overweight all my life but never been a big eater. Question... I had heard / read that your body can only handle so much protein at one sitting - like 30 grams before it turned into stored fat.??
