I am so pleased to hear you are feeling much better. So much of this resonated with me, about fighting cancer, being strong, etc. I have had my own personal experience of cancer 10 years ago, it's not something I discuss much even amongst my family, but I had to comment to say how refreshing this was to hear. Sending you lots of love and healing energy. Gorgeous colouring page, I'm not sure about another colour, it looks so beautiful as it is. x

My mom had three kinds of cancer, kidney, breast and multiple myeloma. She always worried that she’d pass it on to her children. Her brother had throat cancer, their father had skin cancer. Her father was one of nine boys and all had some form of cancer or another except one that died at about 20 so don’t know if he’d have had some type if he’d lived long enough. They ranged from skin cancer to, to colorectal, to lung, to liver. I had breast cancer six years ago, stage one really small. I had a lumpectomy with radiation. You’re right about how surprising it is with how tired radiation can make you, but chemotherapy is so so much more tiring and draining. I’m fortunate I didn’t have to do that. I did take Anastrozole, and after that Letrozole, but did not do well on those so had to stop. They wanted me to take Tamoxifen, but I said no that I didn’t want to trade one cancer for another. I lost my nephew to stomach cancer in March of 2023 to stomach cancer that was diagnosed at stage fort the previous August. Lost my husband in February to stage four lung cancer that was diagnosed in January after he broke his hip. We nor his doctors had any idea he had cancer until we found out the break was caused by the cancer. My husband’s good friend has stage four kidney cancer. Our nephew’s ex-wife died at the end of 2023 from some rare cancer. My best friend’s husband died in 2023 from cancer. A friend/ neighbor was just diagnosed with prostate cancer and is starting radiation tomorrow. I feel like our lives have been ravaged by one form or another of this horrible disease. I count myself lucky for every day that I had with those I lost, for every day that I have with those who are trying to survive, and for every day that I have. I’m trying to count my blessings, because if I don’t I’ll just sit down in a corner and give up. You may not feel strong nor think of yourself as strong, but I see you as strong. Because you didn’t give up with any of your three diagnoses. You did what you had to do to try to get well and live your life as best as you can and be there for those you love. You did not just give up, some do. You looked good and looked so much stronger and better in this video. Strength doesn’t come back overnight, but I can see that yours is coming back.

Bless you, you feel so much better after a shower don't you. Ooh if you're going to Coventry for your oncology appointment, then good luck getting down the hospital drive at that time. I'm sure being overweight and slightly unhealthy doesn't cause your cancer. That's good they looking for any genetic link as it could help your children, especially Ella and Molly. You really are a lucky lady that's for sure.

Ooh, that banana recipe sounds yummy. Are you supposed to eat it like it is or with ice cream? Cancer seems like a more common diagnosis nowadays, but thankfully, it's not the immediate death sentence it used to be only fifty, sixty years ago. I've escaped it so far, but if obesity can cause it... oh my. By the way, you are not obese. You crazy woman! (Read that in the voice of René in 'Allo 'Allo!)😂 I'd use cobalt blue next. It'll make the other colours pop.

Good advice about the colour, Karin. Regarding the banana recipe, yes you could have ice cream 🍨 with it 🤗 Yes, I am obese, I’m currently just over 12 stone (about 170 lbs) and at only 5 foot 1 and a half inches, my maximum weight should be about 9 stone! Thanks for your lovely comments, Karin 🤗💕🙏🤓

Dear Ashley. You seem such a lovely lady. Please, please listen to Doctor Thomas Seyfried and the role of a ketogenic diet. Also listen to Jane McLelland, who wrote the book Starving Cancer. Sugar and Glutamine are the fuels of cancer cells. Please ask a few friends to go into this information as well, because the more you know, the more you can take control. Jane has received an award for her book and Thomas Seyfried is a professor at Boston University teaching medical students. My oncologist never spoke to me about diet.. They don't, but if cancer cells are made weaker by being starved of Glucose and Glutamine, chemotherapy treatment is aided and cancer cells struggle to survive. Please, please get people who love you and will give their time to reading and listening to more you tube posts on Thomas Seyfried and Jane McLelland to get you started. The living proof of survivors is out there but you have to find it. God. Bless you.
