That's very helpful advice! But what about the back of that guy's right shoe? I recently built a very small kiiking swing, but it's a lot of fun flipping on it lately. You know what I use to strap my feet in? ....ratcheting straps. The ones I have are rated at 300+ lbs. My standing board is a solid board though, I don't have a crack in the middle (2 separate boards) like in the video. Yet, the ratcheting straps seem to hold me securely to the wooden board safely, that's all that matters.

Awesome! That was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you! I am going to make some new boards for my swing, as the one I have now is solid with no slot in the middle to run straps through. I'm curious since Kiiking has been around so much longer in Estonia, what kind of accidents have happened and what are some other things to watch out for and be aware of. I can't find much info, but I read somewhere, the guiness record holder was seriously injured somehow. Is that true?

Great news! I was beginning to wonder if Andrus was some kind of superhero and his record wouldn't ever be beaten. He's mortal after all. Ha-ha. What's this "stopping mechanism" on the spindle you refer to? Is there just one main manufacturer of swings in Estonia. All that I have seen, look the same. Is there some standard design? Any general info on the design you would be willing to share would be very helpful. I hate trying to re-invent the wheel. P.S. I just got over 5.94m, my best yet.

why not use snowboard bindings with a climbing harness attached at feet and center hub as back up. Also, the foot board could swivel.

I live in Seattle and it would be prohibitively expensive to ship one of these half way around the world. How can I get the design. Engineers and the University of Washington structural and mechanical engineers won't talk to me. Law suits in America.
