Dr. Kristine Michael is an independent ceramic artist, arts educator, researcher, and curator based in New Delhi. Some of her recent curatorial endeavors include Multiple Realities-Indian Contemporary Ceramics at the Clayarch Gimhae Museum in South Korea in 2023 and Tempered-Poetry In Glass with the INKO Centre Chennai in 2022. Recent projects at Art Heritage include The Firing Line in 2022 and the current show, Shape Shifting: Fluid Geometries in Ceramics. She has been the recipient of several distinguished awards, including the Nehru Trust Visiting Fellowship to the Victoria & Albert Museum (London), Charles Wallace Trust Award, and the Sanskriti Fine Art Award. Currently, she serves as the Curator for Craft for the Serendipity Arts Festival 2024.
Anjani Khanna is a ceramic sculptor, curator and writer. She is a co-founder and co-curator of the Indian Ceramics Triennale. She also serves as the director of The Contemporary Clay Foundation, was the science editor of Down to Earth magazine and Assistant Director at the Centre for Science and Environment, New Delhi. She has an MA from the University of Cambridge and studied ceramics with Ray Meeker at the Golden Bridge Pottery in Pondicherry and has been an artist-in-residence in the US, Europe, Australia, China and in India. She is the recipient of a number of awards and fellowships, including grants from the India Foundation for the Arts, a Senior Fellowship from the Government of India and she is an Arthink South Asia Fellow. Anjani was on the selection committee for Award for the 2021 edition of the British Ceramics Biennial. Her work has been shown both nationally and internationally and is in a number of public and private collections. She is a member of the International Academy of Ceramics in Geneva.
Mudita Bhandari is a visual artist who primarily works with clay. She received her BFA in ceramics from Kala Bhawan, Vishwa Bharati University, Santiniketan and MFA from Faculty of Fine Arts, Maharaja Sayaji Rao University, Vadodara. Inspired by the use of clay in the folk tradition of India, she began working extensively in terracotta. Her practice is informed by the idea of space and dimension. She is interested in exploring the fluidity of various dimensions and the multiplicity of layers within the structure of existence. She is a member of the International Academy of Ceramics in Geneva. Mudita has been invited to various residencies and has exhibited extensively both nationally and internationally. Her works are in several collections, including the Mark Rothko Art Center Latvia, Fule International Ceramic Museum, China, Mehmet Nuri Gocen Foundation of Culture, Education and Art, Turkey, and Bharat Bhawan, Bhopal, India. Mudita lives and works in Indore.
